  • AeroMetric is part of the consultant team providing the State of Kansas with LiDAR elevation data statewide. Funded by Federal, State and County agencies, this project is a key component of the Kansas Geographic Information System partnership initiative which aims at developing a robust geospatial infrastructure to enhance the safety, economy, environment and quality of life in Kansas.

    AeroMetric offers local organizations the opportunity to leverage this robust dataset to acquire valuable derivative products. The area in production by AeroMetric in 2012 covers 9,720 square miles in the eastern part of the state. This includes an 11 county area, the Missouri river, and Kansas City. The Counties include Butler, Linn, Bourbon, Crawford, Cherokee, Wabaunsee, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan and Wyandotte.

    The derivative products described on the reverse side are available for Area 3, or for the Counties indicated as Underway/Completed, in the map below. Just send us a shape file of your area of interest and we will provide a quote for the derivative product of interest.

  • AeroMetric can produce cartographically pleasing and reliably accurate contours at 2 or larger intervals. We generate the contours using the LiDAR point cloud and hydro-graphically enforced breaklines to obtain the optimum representation of the landscape. We will certify the contours meet National Map Accuracy Standards for 2 or larger interval. Delivery can be in your choice of ESRI, Intergraph or AutoCAD formats. Just send us a shape file of your area of interest and we will provide a quote for the derivative product of interest.

    LiDAR can be used with ancillary imagery sources to derive a surface cover map showing impervious surfaces, such as buildings, roads, paved drives, parking lots, sidewalks, patios, swimming pools, etc. This product is useful for stormwater model-ing and can support stormwater assessment computations. Delivery can be as raster or vector and in your choice of ESRI, Intergraph or AutoCAD formats. Just send us a shape file of your area of interest and we will provide a quote for the derivative product of interest.

    AeroMetric has efficient methodologies for extracting building wireframes from LiDAR. The wireframes are generated from the classified point cloud and will include 95% of structures over 100sq.ft. in area. Delivery can be in your choice of ESRI, Intergraph or AutoCAD formats. Just send us a shape file of your area of interest and we will provide a quote for the derivative product of interest.

    Local organizations are increasingly interested in tree cover mapping for a variety of aesthetic and conservation related planning purposes. AeroMetric has a biometrician on staff with expertise in derivation of tree cover characteristics from LiDAR. We can produce a tree cover and/or height map to you requirements for any size area. Deliv-ery can be as raster or vector and in your choice of ESRI, Intergraph or AutoCAD formats. Just send us a shape file of your area of interest and we will provide a quote for the derivative product of interest.
