Introduction

There was an article in hand-written Telugu titled "Jataka Chakramu and

Jatakalankaramu and Jyotisha Vishayamu Donated By Raghavendra Rao" in Saptharishis

website.

With the help of my friend's mother, who is a Telugu teacher and is currently

visiting US, we read the Kalachakra Dasa calculations together and I started

translating it into English.

In these calculations, the author used the Janma Nakshatra, its Pada, and then

defined the planets sequence to be used for Dasa calculations.

Also, I managed to understand – and found out how to calculate – the

antardasas. Even though the author explained to calculate up to the minute, due

to the inability to understand his handwriting, we stopped at antardasa level.

Using the calculations, I analyzed three different charts and provided my

analysis.

Please accept my apologies if the translation is not grammatically correct.



Explanation

The 27 Nakshatras are divided into 4 groups. For each group, based on Pada, the

deha and jeeva rashis are defined. The order in which the Dasas are to be

calculated depends on which group the Nakshatra belongs to and its pada.

Jeeva Rashi plays a vital role in defining one’s longevity. There are several

aspects that need to be considered while calculating the longevity: planets, the

lord, and the malefic affliction of this rashi. Even though Rahu is not used for

dasa calculation, Rahu in this rashi is considered to be a “disaster” to the native.

Death is assured during the dasa of a malefic and antardasa of malefics or

maraka’s.

Malefic planets in Deha and/or Jeeva give bad results during their Dasa and

Antardasa. The effect will be minimal if the Dasa Planet is Benefic.

Planet Dasas:

The planet’s dasas are defined as follows:

Sun 5 yrs

Moon 21 yrs

Mars 7 yrs

Mercury 9 yrs

Jupiter 10 yrs



Saturn 4 yrs

Venus 16 yrs.

Planet Antardasas:

(Please note the longevity & Planet dasas is defined below in the article).

For each planet, the Antardasa’s are calculated as shown below:

Step 1: Identify the Nakshatra Group and its pada.

For example: Janma Nakshatra is Bharani, so Pada = 1.

Step 2: Identify the total number of longevity years for this Nakshatra & Pada

For example: Janma Nakshatra is Bharani, so Pada = 1. And so the

longevity is 100 yrs.

Step 3: For each Madadasa Planet, calculate the Anatardasas.

For example: Janma Nakshatra is Bharani, so Pada = 1. And so the Planet

dasa sequence is: Mars, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars

& Jupiter.

Let Longevity period = Lp years.

Let Dasa Planet period = Dp years.

Let Antardasa Planet period = Ap years and

Number of months in a year = Nm = 12.

The formula is: (Dp * Ap * Nm) / Lp ;



The number before decimal is the number of months.

By multiplying with 3 to the first digit after decimal is the number

of days.

Sometimes, the number of days need to be adjusted to correct the

dasa period, since the division /multiplication were approximated.

For example:

Mrighasira 2 Pada whose maximum longevity is 85,

Saturn/Saturn will be: (4*4*12)/85 = 2.259.

So for the antardasa period, years is 0, months is 2 and days

is 6 (.3*2).

For Pada 1: Deha is Mesha (Aries) and Jeeva is Dhanus (Sagittarius) .

For Pada 2: Deha is Makara (Capricorn) and Jeeva is Mithuna (Gemini).

For Pada 3: Deha is Vrishabha (Taurus) and Jeeva is Mithuna (Gemini).

For Pada 4: Deha is Kataka (Cancer) and Jeeva is Meena (Pisces).

Chart 1: (Late) Indira Gandhi – Validating the death using this dasa calculations.

Uttarashada 3 Pada – Longevity (max) 83 years. Date of Death: October 31, 1984

Deha is Vrishabha (Taurus), where Malefic Jupiter is residing and Malefic Venus is the Owner.

Venus, lord of 4th and 11th houses, is residing in 6th (Roga-stanam) house with a direct aspect to 12th

(Moksha-stanam) house. Venus is in Purvashada Nakshatra for which Venus is the ruler. Venus is

residing in the house owned by Jupiter (a Malefic). Venus is Maraka, Lord of Bhadhakasthana

and Bädhakesa for this Lagna.

“If Sun, Moon and First House are afflicted with Malefics -- Native's DEATH WILL OCCUR IN A

VIOLENT AND SUDDEN DEATH. “ -- Here Sun is aspecting a Malefic Jupiter, Moon is aspecting

Saturn and Saturn is in 1st house, hence her death was so violent.



Chart 2: US President B H Obama – Validating the presidential election success using this

Mr. Obama became the first African-American president on 4th Nov 2008 and again got reelected on

6th Nov 2012. It was Venus Mahadasa for the first time and Mars for the second time.

Venus is lord of 5th (Vidya-stanam) and 10th (Career), and is in 6th house, owned by Mercury – a

friend. Venus/Saturn began on 22nd June 2008 and completed on 22nd March 2009. Saturn a Benefic

and Lord of 1st and 2nd house is in its OWN house.

Mars is lord of 4th and 11th house, and is in 8th house, owned by Sun – a friend. From 8th house, Mars

is directly aspecting its OWN houses, there by strengthening them. Mars is co-joined with Rahu (who

is an enemy to Sun – the house owner) and this had resulted in a lot of unwanted stress and tensions

during Mars/Mars period. The US Elections were held during this period. The most advantage that the

native had was Mars residing in Purva Phalguni Nakshatra, the owner being Venus who is the 10th

house lord.

Let us go deeper into the first major event, which happened during Saturn/Saturn

antardasha. Saturn is in 6th house and owner of 6th (Roga-stanam) house and having



a direct aspect to 8th and 12th houses. Saturn is residing in Shatabhishek Nakshatra

and Rahu is the ruler. Mars the 8th house lord is also aspecting the 12th house. Rahu is

aspecting 6th house.

Fortunately, the native was alive because;

Saturn is in Favourable position.

Saturn is neither Lord of Bhadhakasthana nor Maraka (Cause of Death

Planets )

Saturn & Rahu are in SheerShodaya Sign.

Let us go deeper into the second major event, which happened during Jupiter/Saturn

period.

Saturn July 4, 1981 December 22, 1981 Unsuccessful to get into Engineering College

Jupiter a Malefic is lord of 4th and 7th houses is in 8th house, owned by Mars (another

Malefic). Jupiter is “A Friend to House Owner”. Saturn being the lord of 5th (Vidya-

stanam) had resulted in failures.

Let us go deeper into the third major event, which happened during Mars/Saturn and

Mars/Jupiter period. Saturn being lord of 5th house had resulted in failures.



Saturn December 13, 1987 April 13, 1988 Failed Master's Degree exams

Saturn April 13, 1988 August 13, 1988 Failed AMIE (PART-B) exams and discontinued

Jupiter August 13, 1988 June 10, 1989 Completed Master's Degree and Left Abroad before the Dasa Ended

Let us go deeper into the fourth major event. Venus dasa began on 10-June-1989 and

completed on 10-June-2005. Venus the Karaka for marriage is lord of 2nd (dhana-

stanam, kutumbha-stanam) and 9th (Bhagya-stanam) is a NEUTRAL planet and is

residing in 10th House, cojoined with Rahu. Mercury is the lord of 10th house. Venus is

residing in Ardra Nakshatra, Rahu being the ruler. While Venus is aspecting the 4th

(Sukha-stanam), Rahu is aspecting 2nd, 4th, and 6th houses.

The only unfortunate event that occurred is the death of native’s father, during

Venus/Mercury period. While Venus is the lord of 2nd house (Kutumbha-stanam),

Mercury is lord of 10th (Karma-stanam, Pitrustanam) house and Mercury is residing in

Kritthika Nakshatra, owner being Sun.



Conclusion

Based on the explanation provided, only 3 scenarios were presented with

detailed analysis.

It is left to the readers to super-impose, and interpret, the findings from these

on other available charts.
