HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited is looking for a

motivated, self-starting individual to form part of the

Balance Sheet Management Team (BSM) in Global

Markets. BSM is a business that has evolved over the

last two years and one of the important revenue

generators for the bank and is primarily responsible

for managing the bank’s interest rate risk, day-to-day

cash management (of the bank) and liquidity. We are

looking for someone who is dynamic, a keen learner,

with a strong analytical background and an individual

willing and capable of working well under pressure.

Major responsibilities

• Working with the BSM team to manage the Bank’s

overall interest rates risk via fixed income securities,

swaps and other instruments.

• Working with the BSM team to manage the Bank’s

overall liquidity position whilst complying with local

regulatory and internal HSBC Group liquidity

requirements/ratios.

• Enhance quality of reporting especially around risk,

revenue, return on risk weighted assets, return on

capital and stress testing the portfolio for both

liquidity and interest rate risk management

purposes.

• Continuously reviewing processes involving BSM

with the intension of improving operational efficiency

and building strong controls around the business

and its activity.

Minimum qualifications

• BA degree in finance, economics or a related

discipline

• Strong interest in Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income

and Money Markets. experience in similar field is an

added advantage

• Flexible, resourceful, ability to multitask and work

well within a relatively small team

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Fluent computer literacy and strong communication

skills
