  • We are pleased to bring you our second main brochure of the year - hasnt the year gone quickly?

    The rest of the year sees a variety of entertainment coming to the Great Yarmouth stage that includes musical revues, cabaret, old time classics, various music tribute acts and some excellent cinema screenings of favourite films and screenings from Londons West End. We then look forward to the end of 2016, where our focus turns to the biggest event in our calendar - Pantomime. This year, Robin Hood will be brought to the stage by the producers behind last years successful production of Cinderella and tickets have already been selling fast, so make sure you book soon to get some of the best seats in the house.

    We are pleased to announce that our comedy nights are now included in our FRIEND4FREE offer, where friends of the theatre can buy a ticket and get one free (or buy two and get two free). It only costs 30 to become a friend for a year.     KING LEAR - SCREENED LIVE FROM THE RSC

    King Lear has ruled for many years. As age begins to overtake him, he decides to divide his kingdom amongst his three daughters and live out his days without the burden of power. Misjudging his childrens loyalty and finding himself alone in the wilderness, he is left to confront the mistakes of a life that has brought him to this point.

    This production is the only theatrical production of Round the Horne currently endorsed by the estates of the shows original creators and writers, Barry Took and Marty Feldman.     In a remote manner house, a murder has been committed. Or has it? The residents and guests all seem fairly reluctant to admit anything of the sort. Nevertheless, there is a body and that usually entails something bad happened. Right? A world famous detective is called for to unravel the subterfuge and solve the mystery. Sherlock was busy so FabbaInvestigations will have to do!

    Anastasia is a ballet about one of the great historical mysteries of the 20th century, only recently solved. Originally choreographed by Sir Kenneth MacMillan (who spent much of his childhood in Great Yarmouth and still has a memorial stone on the side of St Georges Theatre today).

    Refunds and ExchangesExchanges can only be made for another day of the same performance (when the performance runs for more than 1 day), for the same value, and are subject to a 1 exchange fee.     ConcessionsConcessions for some shows are available for children (under 16), senior citizens, registered disabled and students in full time education with student cards. Wheelchair users are eligible for 1 carer seat if required. This will be charged at the lowest standard seat price for that show. Please present proof of eligibility when booking.

    Family and Group ticketsFamily Tickets must include 2 adult and 2 child tickets. The box office will automatically offer you the best deal when booking as long as the correct type of ticket is requested. Some shows have group booking discounts which are detailed in the brochure.

    Car ParkingClosest car parks are at King Street and Howard Street. Both car parks are indicated on the map on the right.

    BusRegular buses to Great Yarmouth from surrounding areas. Main bus station is at Market Gates, five minutes walk from St. Georges.

    TrainGreat Yarmouth Train station is located at Acle New Road (near Asda). From there, make your way to the town centre and Market Place and walk down King Street to St. Georges.

    St. Georges Theatre is operated by St. Georges Trust, a charitable organisation. Registered Charity No. 1081752. The trust is grateful to the organisations for supporting the refurbishment of the theatre.

    How long is the performance?Performance times are set by the visiting company or at the first performance of an in house production. Finish times will be displayed at the theatre. Alternatively please contact box office on the day of performance.

    AccessThe south entrance to the theatre has a ramp access to the main doors with flat floor access which leads to wheelchair accessible toilet facilities and the auditorium. Please inform the box office at the time of booking if anyone in your party will be attending the theatre in a wheelchair or will be accompanied by a guide dog. A sound enhancement hearing loop system for the hard-of hearing has been installed. Please reserve sets at the time of booking.

    To enhance your safety and comfort we require patrons in wheelchairs to book a designated wheelchair space. Dedicated seats able to accommodate both wheelchair users and a

    companion are integrated within the main body of the seating.
