    Monday, July 4th Just a few of the county’s many fireworks celebrations

    Dana Point Fireworks Extravaganza Come for a day at the beach and stay for the amazing fireworks show launched from a barge off shore. This is one of the most popular events at Doheny, so if you’re planning to spend the day at the beach and see the fireworks in the evening, get an early start—the park fills up early. You may walk into the park any time during the day with no fee charged. Park hours are 6 am–10 pm. Fireworks start at 8:45 pm. Bring a personal FM radio device and listen to the patriotic music accompanying the fireworks on FM 88.5, KSBR.     Fullerton Festival and Fireworks Show Enjoy fireworks, food, and entertainment! Fireworks begin at 9 pm and last for approximately 20 minutes. Reasonably-priced food will be offered by local charity organizations. No alcohol is served or allowed in the area. Live music will include Deke Dickerson and the Eccofonics.     112th Huntington Beach Celebration Celebrate the Fourth with three days of fun, featuring live entertainment, exhibitions, food vendors, and family activities. On the 4th, enjoy a Lake Park Breakfast, a 5K and Fitness Expo, and the Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade. Fireworks Over the Ocean begin at 9 pm. Refer to website for full list of activities.     Newport Beach “Old Glory” Boat Parade Cheer for your favorite boat-float in this festive water-borne parade. This year’s theme is Celebrating Our Heroes; boat parade registration is free to those wishing to decorate and participate. In addition to the parade, a pancake breakfast, lunch buffet, live music and fireworks make for a full day of fun. Refer to website for pricing.     Santa Ana Celebration Bring your lawn chair, blanket, and a picnic basket and enjoy a fun-filled evening of patriotic entertainment. The program will include live music, food, face painting, a kids zone play area, a cannon exhibition, food, recognition of our Armed Forces, and a History Walk. Fireworks will start at 9 pm.     July 7–Aug. 31, Pageant of the Masters Experience a 90-minute stage show of “living pictures”—incredibly faithful art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the

    July 21, Yappy Hour Share libations with your human and canine friends at Yappy Hour. Human guests can relax with a glass of Mutt Lynch Unleashed Chardonnay, Merlot Over and Play Dead, or Chateau d’Og Cabernet Sauvignon. For the canines, there will be a variety of bacon, chicken, beef or vegan-flavored waters. Cocktails, beer and a selection of barbecue items will be available for purchase.
