Message From Our Senior Minister

BeginningsHome to Home, Heart to Heart

Begin and begin again... We began March with our first garden party of theyear. We had neat and attractive grounds to greet Spring. When the nationalemergency began we responded by following government recommendations.In our March 15th Sunday Celebration we sat six feet apart, a first. On March22 we cancelled in person group meetings altogether and presented our firstever virtual service. We broadcast from the Library with a crew of seven nocongregation present, following the rule of 10. We did our second livebroadcast from our homes, sheltering in place. We go forward meetingtogether from home to home and heart to heart. Talk about new beginnings!

Who would have thought it possible? We were certainly not planning for twolive broadcasts when we sketched out the five Sunday services for March inour Ministry Team. Yet with help from the Centers for Spiritual Living, we did it.Our broadcasts have been well received. They have drawn more people to ourservices. (See article below Surprising Results.)

I believe our Center is thriving, even more so as we tap into the vast potentialof the virtual world. We do need to encourage conscious giving to keep the lawof circulation moving in order to keep serving you during and after the

pandemic

An important question will soon face us. Will we continue to live broadcastwhen this pandemic is over? Let's think about it. Ah, but this is a question forthe future.

Right now we simply enjoy the deep love of those who have worked so hard tobring our Sunday mornings into our homes. "Home to home, heart to heart."That is our motto.

We Held a Garden Partyfrom 9:30 to noon

On Saturday March 14

Dawn Lewis led us in sprucing up our grounds. We trimmed and pulled weeds,raked and scraped old leaves from our shrubs on the sides of the hill next toour back doors. We did some planting in the meditation garden. These andother tasks were fun to do together. Weather was good. no rain.

First Ever, March 22

Our first live broadcast was from our Library. Rev Don and Phyllis Kerr,Practitioner Kathy Prather, Darcy Schmitt and Brent Gjevre, and Jim Billingsjoined Rev Maur Horton. We used Facebook live and Rev. Maur's Iphone tovideo this event in the Library. According to the statistics that show up belowour replay on Facebook this broadcast generated 4 shares, 47 comments, 77engagements, and 277 views.

Some comments were very enthusiastic. "That was freakin' awesome! You allrock!" "Thank you very much for the service Rev. Maur, Rev. Don, Kathy, andespecially thank to Darcy and Brent, and Jim on camera." "This is SO important tokeep us all on Principle at this time."

Second Ever, March 29

In our second presentation, each person broadcast from their own home. Thisadded a level of complexity to the technical aspects.. Rev Don, Rev Julie,Blaine Moody and Annie Cornely joined in a zoom webinar format. This wasthen broadcast live over Facebook. Some technical adjustments occurredduring the presentation.. Nonetheless this, too, was well received. Our statsshowed the broadcast generated 1 share, 52 comments, 62 engagements, and184 views.

Help from The Centers for Spiritual Living Featured Jeff Harrison

Learning the technology required quite a leap from barely knowing it existed toactually doing it. We revived a huge lift from Jeff Harrison of Swing PointMedia. His on line general sessions, open to all of CSL, and his privatesessions with Rev Maur were awesome. Couldn't have done it without him.

An Affirmative PrayerBeginning

There is One Love, One Life, One Spirit. It's Life isabundant perfectly harmonious. It is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginningand the end and all between. It is eternally creating the Universe.

I am some part of the One. The creative power of the One expresses Itselfanew as me and as all of creation.

I begin anew. I choose to realize the newness of the moment. My body isrenews itself. My mind is refreshed. My feelings are uplifted in joy. I experiencean abundance of good. I face every challenge knowing I can access the InfiniteWisdom of the One. I am calm and steady as I invite wholeness and healing toflood into every aspect of my life. My relationships are reestablished in love,peace and joy. My life projects are accomplished with grace and ease. Theabundance of the universe manifests in the new life of spring. My heart is wideopen in love for all. There is no shortage in life. The abundant life I choose formyself, I affirm for all.

I give thanks for love flowing through every part of my being, refreshing andrenewing my whole life. I am grateful for the gift of a healthy body, a soundmind and the consciousness of my close relationship with the Divine.

I let go and let the Law of Good renew me as It expresses Its love and bringsthe wholeness of Its healing to everyone everywhere. And So It Is.
