SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES

Our School has an experience that dates back to 1926 with the creation of a journalism school called El Debate (The Debate). El Debate was the first initiative to create standardized training in Communications in Spain, and was founded in 1926. Since then, we have developed pioneering programs in Digital Communications, and have added degrees in the humanistic fields.

We are the only educational institution in Spain that offers the four Bachelor’s degrees in Communications in English. This unique opportunity can be paired with the option of studying abroad.

Thanks to our professors, facilities, our own media and the external internships our School is the perfect match for a student with ambitious goals.

You can apply once you are enrolled in university. Notices of approval/denial are given in the month June. These scholarships cover 65% of tuition. You may continue to qualify after the first year as long as your GPA is still over 7.

The languages you speak and the sports or cultural and volunteering activities that you participate in will also be taken into account.

CEU MERIT 100 PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS

High School GPA of 9+

When your High School (3rd and 4th E.S.O. and Bachillerato) GPA is 9 or higher, your tuition fee can be waived completely (100%).

If you meet these criteria, your scholarship will be renewed automatically. Your merits will also be considered when reviewing your application.

The CEU San Pablo University Foundation is the private entity with the highest amounts allotted for scholarships and financial aid in all of Spain.

Therefore, we conduct a meticulous analysis of the student’s situation on a case by case basis and take into account their socio-economic and family situation as well.

A committee reviews each application, and distributes the financial aid according to the needs and circumstances of each student.

Our goal is that no student be denied access to the degree they wish to pursue for economic reasons.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

42

TEACHING-BENEFIT AID

The CEU San Pablo University Foundation is committed to its charitable teaching and social purposes. Therefore, it facilitates student access to the School while taking into account their academic performance, as well as the applicant’s socio-economic and family situation. A committee assigned by the Directorate General of the Foundation for this specific purpose reviews each application submitted, and distributes the financial aid according to the needs and circumstances of each student. To qualify for the renewal of financial aid in subsequent years the same requirements from the initial application need to be met.

PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID

Students at CEU San Pablo University can apply for scholarships and study aids awarded by the central government which are subject to Royal Decree 1721/2007 of December 21, and to the Ministerial Order that the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports publishes each year. They may also request similar aids awarded by the autonomous communities, or public and private entities.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNIVERSITY CLASSES AND CHOIR

This scholarship was designed to support a permanent group of singers in the University Choir. Eligible students receive a scholarship in exchange for their commitment to participate in all Choir events, whether organized by the university or by the Catholic Association of Propagandists. They can also be asked to participate in other artistic events organized by the Choir itself.

Eligible students will also be given an opportunity to further their musical and vocal knowledge and talent in the Choir, which was founded more than a decade ago and has produced some important artistic and musical results in Spain and abroad. The screening process has two parts: one artistic/vocal in nature and the other one academic; students must pass both to qualify for the scholarship.

INSURANCE AND LOANS

In addition to loans and grants provided by public institutions, Banco Santander supports students of CEU San Pablo University by facilitating them access to university.

Furthermore, students of all degrees are provided with a free insurance, called education continuity insurance, which ensures that they will be able to finish their education at the University in the event of the death of the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) responsible for payment of tuition fees.
