Josh Bieneman
Force Baseball Director
A native of Baltimore, MD, Josh Bieneman played 4 years of collegiate baseball at
Baltimore City Community College, Georgia College & State University and Notre
Dame College. During his collegiate career Josh was named to the All-Conference team
3 out of his 4 years as a Catcher. He was also selected to play 2 summers in the highly
competitive Shenandoah Valley League, in Virginia. After a brief experience in
professional baseball with Chillicothe Paints in 2008, Josh decided to put all focus and
efforts in the coaching and development of younger athletes.
From 2008 through the summer of 2012 Josh coached Club Travel Teams at numerous
age groups. He also provided Hitting, Pitching, Catching, Defensive and Speed & Agility
instruction for players from ages 6-18. In 2010 and 2011, Josh was the Head Coach USA
Baseball 15U NTIS Regional Team, which featured some of the best young players from
Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Michigan. Josh is also a Varsity Baseball Coach at
St. Ignatius High School, where he has worked with the Catchers and Hitters since 2010.
Larry Mosley

Larry grew up in South Euclid where he played 3yrs of Varsity baseball at Brush High-
school. In those 3yrs Larry was voted 1st team All- WRC, Plain Dealer Honorable
mention, WRC most improved in addition to Team Captain.
Larry started his College career at Lakeland Community where he played under Howie
Krause for 2yrs and earned All- Conference Honorable Mention both years while leading
the team in doubles and home runs his last year.
After a short stint playing at Coker College, Larry began his coaching career at his Alma
mater Brush High school coaching the freshman team to a 15-15 record. Currently Larry
is the 13u coach for Force Ohio where he led them to a record of 55-10.
Ryan Virtue
Force Westlake
A native of Stittsville, Ontario, Canada, Ryan Virtue graduated from Niagara University
with a bachelor of science in sports management in May of 2007. Virtue’s playing career
at NU as a left-handed pitcher saw him performing in a variety of roles. He had been a
conference starter, mid-week starter, and held a number of different relieving
responsibilities. He currently ranks 2nd
in career appearances at Niagara University with
76 and tied for 5th
in career wins (12). For single season pitching records he is 5th
in
appearances (22), and tied for 5th
in wins (6).
Over the course of his career, Virtue has taken various aspects of a number of techniques
from a number of coaches, and has combined these techniques in creating his own
coaching philosophy. He has been a private pitching instructor for over 6 years and has
coached a number of teams at the youth, high school, and collegiate level.
Robert Maddox
Force Northfield

Drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 34th round of the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft. After
declining. Robert attended Ohio University and was later selected by the Cincinnati Reds
in the 18th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Ohio University.
Alex Lavisky
Force Westlake
Alex Lavisky is a professional baseball player for the Cleveland Indians. He grew up in
the greater Cleveland area, and currently lives in Lakewood, Ohio. Alex was a four year
starter at St. Edward high school, winning two baseball state championships in 2008 and
2010 earning first team All-American honors in both his junior and senior year seasons.
He was committed to play baseball at Georgia Tech, but forwent his scholarship when he
was drafted in the 8th round of the 2010 MLB first year player draft by the Cleveland
Indians. Alex has spent the last 3 seasons catching for the Indians Minor League
Affiliates the Lake County Captains, Carolina Mudcats, and now the Akron Aeros, while
spending his off-seasons giving catching and hitting lessons at Diamond Indoor
Sports/Force.
Steve Grife
Force Westlake
Steve grew up in Sheffield Lake Ohio and graduated from Brookside high school in
2005. After High School, he played baseball for three years at Mercyhurst College. He
was drafted in 2009 by the Chicago Cubs where he played two seasons in their Minor
league system. After his time with the Cubs, Steve continued his playing career in the
Frontier League for two seasons with the Washington Wild Things and Southern Illinois
Miners. In the off seasons during his professional playing career, Steve volunteered his
time with programs in the area and was the pitching coach at Mercyhurst College for
their 2011-2012 season.

St. Ignatius grad, Varsity letterman and 2- time National Championship winner at
Marietta College. While at Marietta Kirby Received first team All-OAC honors and his
second varsity letter after starting all 51 games at second base as a junior…Led the team
with 59 runs scored and was third on the team with 65 base hits batting in the No. 2 spot
in the order…Had 17 multiple-hit and seven multiple-RBI games…Defensively, was
second on the team with 138 assists and a team-best 34 double plays…Matched career-
best with four hits against John Carroll and Wilmington and three RBI against Ohio
Northern, Mount Union and Chapman.
Ryan Allen
Force Westlake
Ryan Allen joins Force having spent 2010-13 working as an instructor and coach in Mid-
Missouri. While there, Allen worked primarily as a pitching instructor but also spent
time working with individuals on the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In addition to
one-on-one lessons, Allen helped coordinate group and clinic workouts for various teams
while also being a member of the coaching staff for the Mid Missouri Hitmen.
Allen played three 3 years of Division I baseball for the University of Missouri before
helping lead the University of Central Missouri to the Division II World Series for his
senior season, picking up Honorable Mention MIAA All-Conference Honors along the
way. Prior to Missouri, Allen was a three time All Frontier Conference Selection for
Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Allen hails from Champaign, Illinois
and currently resides in Rocky River.
Cody Dearth

Cody Dearth, graduated from Bellevue High School in 2007 where he played 4 years of
varsity baseball and was a 3 time all league Pitcher/First Basemen and a district 9 All
Star. He also played 4 years of Varsity baseball at Youngstown State University. Former
Coach for Bellevue High Schools summer travel team.

Mark is a former Collegiate Infielder who played both Basketball and Baseball at
Wittenberg University. He is currently beginning his 13th
Season as a Coach at St.
Ignatius High School.
Paul Roskos
Force Northfield
Paul Roskos is from Timberlake, OH, where he attended Eastlake North
High School and graduated as part of the class of 2005. Paul
participated in Varsity Golf and Baseball at North. Paul then
continued his athletic playing career at Lake Erie College in
Painesville, OH, for 4 years in both Golf and Baseball. Paul graduated
with a Degree in Business Administration and Sport Management in May
of 2009. Mr. Roskos joined the Force Sports Coaching Staff part-time
in September of 2012 and became Head Coach of 1 of 2 Force 13u
traveling teams for the 2013 season.
Paul primarily played OF throughout his playing career until college
where he pitched full-time and offers well-rounded instruction for
each position. Paul currently resides in Eastlake with his wife
Kimberly and 3 children Jackson, Elliana, and Milo.
Bill Sero
Force Westlake & Force Northfield
Bill Sero is originally from the Cleveland area and played his high school ball at Garfield
Hts. High School. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants after high school, but
decided to continue his baseball career at Ohio State University, where he played four
years of college ball and was captain of his senior year team. Bill has coached young
adults throughout his baseball career including the last two years at Force Sports.

Jake is currently a Collegiate Baseball player at John Carroll University. Beginning his
second year with the Force Baseball program, Jake will be giving instruction at Force
Northfield and Westlake during the winter months.
Jeff Hehr
Force Northfield & Westlake
Born is Corning, NY, Jeff played his College Baseball as a Shortstop at Eastern
Michigan. He was Selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 20th round (No. 617 overall)
of the 2007 MLB Draft. Jeff played with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and Lake
County Captains.
Jonathan Sprowls
Force Westlake
Jonathan, a Graduate from Claymont high school, was named all-conference for
the E.C.O.L. Jonathan attended Cleveland State University as a relief/ closing pitcher for
the Vikings. During his 4 yrs. at Cleveland State, Jonathan obtained a B.A. in Psychology
with the concentration on the mental aspect of sports in Psychology with a minor in
Communication. Post-graduation, Jonathan was 11th
pick overall in the Frontier League.
He now currently works at the VA Medical Center as a Therapist for long term
rehabilitation and to head back to school for his Ph.D in Psychology.
Eric Yanosich

Eric played high school baseball for Mentor High School, where he was voted MVP by
his teammates his senior year. Played summer baseball for Aspiring Athletes his junior
and senior year. Currently is a third year biology major at Duquesne University in
Pittsburgh. He is a part of the first year club baseball team at Duquesne.
This will be Eric’s second year coaching for the Force Blue Sox, moving up with last
year's 11u team to this year's 12u team. He hopes to coach high school baseball near
Pittsburgh after graduation from Duquesne's physical therapy program.
Matt Murphy

Matt Murphy currently resides in North Ridgeville. He played 3 yrs. of varsity baseball
for North Ridgeville High School and was all county as both a Junior and a Senior. Matt
has been coaching baseball for 3 years, which includes a 14U team out of North
Ridgeville in the summer of 2011. Matt is currently the Head Coach of Force Westlake's
U9 and U13 teams.

Jeremy Coleman
All-Ohio honorable mention in 2003. Upon graduation Jeremy attended Lakeland
Community College on a baseball scholarship in the fall of 2004 where he was a started
for two years. After attending Lakeland he accepted a 95% baseball scholarship to
Western Kentucky University. He helped Western reach two regional births in his last
two years of eligibility, and a top 25 ranking at the end of the 2009 season.
Lakeland Community College - 4x All-Conference (Fall and Spring seasons), All-
Regional, Ranked 3rd on the team in hitting as a freshman. Sophomore season
ranked 1st in hitting, and 37th in the NJCAA Division II with a .428 avg. 15
doubles, 4 triples, 4 homeruns, 44 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. Earned Conference
Player of the Year Honors in the 2006 season.
Western Kentucky University - Hit .290 with 3 doubles 3 triples and 1 homerun in the
two years attended.
