Computer Science, Electronics, and Computer Hardware Designer with a strong background in user-focused device design looking to make an impact.
EDUCATIONBachelor of Science, Computer Engineering, California State University, East Bay, spring 2016 ABET Accredited majorComputer Skills
∙ Programming languages: C/C++, Verilog(Xilinx ISE), Linux Terminal(Shell script), MIPS assembly∙ Spoken Languages: Fluent English, Fluent Spanish∙ CAD Software: Magic VLSI layout editor, Layout software(VLSI GUI), Logicworks 5, AutoCAD, SketchUp,
Draftsight (3DS)∙ Problem Solving Software: Mathcad, Matlab, Audacity, Saleae logic analyzer∙ Hardware: Xilinx Spartan 6 FPGA, Beaglebone Black, Arduino due, building Computer Numerically
Controlled(CNC) machines, soldering, machinist tools such as a drill press and Dremel tools
RELEVANT EXPERIENCEIT SupportCSU East Bay College of Science Computer Lab and Project Lead the Way 6/2014 – 7/2016
∙ Imaging computers using Clonezilla and Ghost walker. Loading the image using PXE∙ Inventory tracking, network troubleshooting, facilitating network access for university staff and students∙ Software testing and troubleshooting∙ Face to face, phone and remote IT Support
Medical Robotics and Gait Analysis Student Intern 5/2010-8/2010 and 5/2011-8/2011Professor Camarena M.S. Mathematics
∙ Built thesis presentation on gait analysis, robotics, and nanotechnology in the medical field. Presented my research at the NSF/MESA Summer Team Internship Reception
RF Engineering Student Intern 5/2008 - 8/2008SPAWAR Systems Pacific for Mike McGinnis (Technical Specialist)
∙ Worked on the Mast Clamp Current Probe (MCCP) monopole antenna (U.S. government patent. Patent # US 8111205 B1)
∙ Measured impedance mismatch, signal insertion loss, system loss and gain using a vector network analyzer Measured the output frequency using spectrum analyzers
∙ Divided tasks, created weekly goals, and had organized team meetings to insure progress and alignment∙ Presented project overview at the NSF/MESA Summer Team Internship Reception
PROJECTSDigital Design Lab: Keypad Calculator
∙ Designed and built a keypad calculator using a Jameco keypad, a Xilinx Spartan 6 FPGA, wires, and a Saleae logic analyzer
∙ Used Verilog code and the Xilinx ISE software to debug and complete the programming part of the project
Senior Design Team Project: CNC Woodworking Mill∙ Created the mechanical design for a computer numerical control (CNC) machine in 3D using SketchUp CAD
software∙ Made CAD .dxf files using Draftsight and sent them files to a custom metal fabrication company. From those
custom plates my team used 80/20 aluminum extrusions, a milling spindle, T nuts, screws, and other hardware to put the CNC machine together.
∙ With team, designed circuit for the CPU of the CNC mill, which includes stepper motors, motor controllers, a variable frequency drive, limit switches, and other electronics to program and power the machine
