LBS provides automated social distancing monitoring to help employees achieve best practice in social distancing and help minimize the impact of any contact tracing reports. It enables compliance management through the provision of critical dashboards and reports, detailing how well social distancing is being practiced.

Scenario Planning Reports can also assist Crisis Management Teams to pro-actively monitor and respond to an event. The application runs on a cloud based software platform that collects real-time data from a wide range of plug and play sensors with wire-free installation including: Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) badges and Bluetooth LE badges with duress support; Bluetooth LE transceivers; asset trackers.

It is important to note that Contact Tracing is applicable to any contagious virus of significance and not only COVID-19.

Johnson Controls Locations Based Services are developed using Privacy by Design and supports Privacy by Default. All the features of Johnson Controls Location Based Services are available using pseudo anonymized data. It is the responsibility of the data controller to ensure its compliance with applicable law, including any de-pseudo anonymizing of data.

Quick and easy installation – wireless infrastructure

The Location Based Services solution can be rapidly deployed. If access to WiFi is difficult to obtain, 4G WiFi hotspots can be installed and used to transport badge location data to our secure cloud.

Two-week history and time duration

Location Based Services provides detailed Contact Tracing of people over a two-week period. Longer or shorter timeframes can also be selected. Individuals and locations that personnel encountered – as well as the critically important information of the duration of that encounter – is provided.

Johnson Controls Location Based Services provides space, equipment and environmental analytics and insights to help you to quickly make informed decisions that decrease infection transfer and improve efficiency and effectiveness. The application runs on a cloud based software platform that collects real-time data from a rich range of sensors: Bluetooth ID badges; asset trackers; intelligent equipment utilization monitors; temperature, humidity, noise and light sensors; and room and desk occupancy sensors. Data from third-party systems can also be ingested to enhance the analytic insights mined from the sensor data.

The solution’s analytics capability delivers an unprecedented level of insight about the movement of user groups, utilization and run time of equipment, and the micro-environmental conditions in the area.

The application blends data from many different sensor types, surfacing insights and unique views to tell a complete story on a single platform. It looks beneath the surface of data that might be generated by an independent system and sees how the data combines to tell a complete story.

The LBS solution is agnostic and currently utilize Bluetooth LE, LoRA and UWB for real time location sensing along with intelligent equipment monitors to connect, unconnected equipment in order to understand utilization and run times.
