iluminage skin care was developed by Pond’s Institute

scientists after 10 years of research. The team

decoded the DNA pathways responsible for youthful

cell renewal, and developed CLA and Survixyl™ to

support these natural processes. CLA, or Conjugated

Linoleic acid, is a naturally occurring fatty acid from

safflower plant oil. It helps to boost the skin’s natural

renewal process. Suvixyl™ is a peptide that helps to

“support the skin’s natural ability to defend itself

against stress and visible signs of aging.” Many

products also contains retinol and glycolic acid, two

ingredients known for their ability to help gently

exfoliate, boost collagen production and diminish the

appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Fibroblasts are the cells responsible for making collagen. The Skin Smoothing Laser increases

fibroblast activity to help generate healthy collagen and strengthen the skin. This helps to target

wrinkles where they form and create a smoother, firmer complexion. It works especially well to

treat hard-to-reach wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.

The non-ablative laser is similar to lasers used during cosmetic procedures. However, it emits a
