DESCRIPTION
This series of mixed media paintings uses print as a primary medium. The use of deconstructed print speaks to a variety of themes, including loss, recovery, adaptation, and renewal. I begin by establishing and exploiting systems like color and language. I use paint to edit, and manipulate the original content, causing the systems to break down. The reworked words and graphics suggest the ease with which information is corrupted, and the fragile nature of memory.TRANSCRIPT
