Jasper Johns is an American contemporary

artist was born May 15, 1930

• He is best known for his painting Flag.

Jasper Johns began drawing as a child, and by

the age of five he dreamed of becoming an

artist.

Johns painted Flag after having a dream of the

American flag.

At the age of twenty-four, he made the decision to stop becoming an artist

and actually be one.

Jasper Johns is most known for his paintings and prints.
