FEATURES/BENEFITSThe Dakar XCR29 Pro features a Dyad XC Ultra lay-up of M30 and T700 high modulus carbon ber to optimize ride quality, durability and stiffness. With SST -- Size Specic Tubing diameters. Larger frames get larger, stiffer ODs; smaller frames get lighter, more compliant ODs. The XCR29s mp4 multi-link suspension design is optimized to shed weight and offer superb pedaling efciency yet remain fully active with a near-vertical wheel axle travel path. It includes 10mm shock hardware and 12x135 rear thru axle for increased lateral & torsional stiffness and performance. With the maximum bending load at the front of a bike being found at the crown, a 1 1/8-1.5 tapered headtube keeps the frame light while increasing stiffness and strength for improved handling and steering. The larger 46mm bore diameter of the Press Fit 30 BB system increases ply compaction yielding a lighter frame with increased frame strength. The key difference with Press Fit 30 is how the bearings are tted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups that are pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. Like BB30, Press Fit 30 uses the same bearing that is designed for 30mm spindle cranksets. Advantages of Press Fit 30: Improved bearing-to-shell interface, greater bearing durability and simple installation. The rear triangle of the XCR29 has our mp4 carbon linkage paired with short seatstays with a 3-D bridge, asymmetrical chainstays & 12x135mm thru-axle for strength and stiffness. The XCR29s chainstay is asymmetrical and 99.5% full carbon ber, including the dropouts. An alloy disc brake mount is integrated into the carbon on the non-drive side to provide additional strength under braking loads. Asymmetrical chainstays incorporate a straight stay on the non-drive side and a curved stay on the drive side to achieve greater tire clearance and a stiffer, lighter rear triangle. The XCR29s fully-active 100mm travel is controlled by a Rock Shoxs Monarch RT3 rear shock that offers a 3-position Floodgate switch to adjust platform control pedaling efciency with the ip of a lever and the Solo Air spring system with a single Schrader air valve to simultaneously ll both the positive and negative air chambers, simplifying suspension setup while retaining a lightweight and plush ride. The Rock Shox SID RL 29s supremely svelte design puts hill-charging, race-winning lightweight suspension in a stiff 32mm chassis with a 15mm Maxle Lite axle that doesnt inch when the trail gets tough. Combining the uber-light Dual Air spring with all new Motion Control DNA and the PowerBulge design of the lower legs, SID delivers unparalleled plushness and control in the world of lightweight suspension. 15mm thru-axle QRs offer all the benets of the 20m thru-axle design (stiffness!) + the benets of the standard 9mm QR system (quick wheel removal!) without any of the down sides. FEATURES/BENEFITSThe Nemisis frame features tubing made by SuperPlastic Forming. SPF is carried out at high temperatures, where the tube structure is in its most plastic and formable state allowing better tube shapes that cannot be produced using traditional forming techniques. Whereas shape designs can be applied to 25% of the tube using hydroforming, SPF allows up to 90% manipulation. The result: more optimized shapes and less weight. The larger 46mm bore diameter of the Press Fit 30 BB system increases the frames bottom bracket shell providing a larger welding surface that increases frame strength. The key difference with Press Fit 30 is how the bearings are tted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups that are pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. Like BB30, Press Fit 30 uses the same bearing that is designed for a 30mm spindle cranksets. Advantages of Press Fit 30: Improved bearing-to-shell interface, greater bearing durability and simple installation. With the maximum bending load at the front of a bike being found at the crown, a 1 1/8-1.5 tapered headtube strenghtens and stiffens the frame, while helping to reduce weight at the same time. X-Fusions Velvet RL utilizes an on-off switch for on-the-y suspension lockout and an air spring with external rebound adjustment for easy tuning. Avids Elixir 3 offers the same ride quality as the upper end Elixirs with slightly fewer features. The brake features an ambidextrous lever body featuring Tapered Bore technology, easy access tooled reach adjust and a 2-piece caliper all resulting in a light great feeling brake. With the maximum bending load at the front of a bike being found at the crown, a 1 1/8-1.5 tapered headtube keeps the frame light while increasing stiffness and strength. Asymmetrical chainstays incorporate a straight stay on the non-drive side and a curved stay on the drive side to achieve greater tire clearance and a stiffer, lighter rear triangle.
