PLANET-TAATOOINE

Planet Taatooine is a very hot planet, water is found very deep down in the dried up dirt also

some large cracks in the ground, caused by earthquakes. Planet Taatooine has a surface

covered in sand and some patches of dry grass with some high and large trees to graze from . Also some small bushes with flowers on

them.

Planet Taatooines deserts are home to a carnivorous snake called the shocanonda. And also home to a range birds called the cooing bird that roosts in the tall trees by making large nests. And a sand coloured lizard called a kaatei that burrows into the ground and also a shoopa rat n living in the small bushes on the terrain.

DONOR ANIMALS

The camandaffe has been genetically been made using the DNA from the following earth animals...

1. The Arabian Camel(Dromedary)

2. The Giraffe(Giraffacamelopardalis)

3. The Giant Panda

Acinonyx jubatus

4. The African Cheetah

(Ailuropoda melanoleuca)

We the put on panda head specifically used for a leaf eating animal great for tearing stuff like bamboo and bark. Also for great hearing to listen for predators.

We put the giraffe neck mainly because our camandaffe needs to get leaves and fruit of tall trees.

We put the camels body on because in the desert if the camandaffe nearly starves the camels body will have some reserved food for the animal to survive.

We put the cheetahs legs on the camandaffe to escape from predators quite quickly and mostly successful

Balancing the eco system

To balance the eco system on planet taatooine is simple in the following ways...

1. The camandaffe only produces offspring at the age of 4 years old and produces 1-3 babies

2. Males will occasionally force another member of the tribe out and often they will die of starvation.

3. young camandaffe 2-10 die at birth or get bitten by a poisonous snake and die.

Reproduction

In the ‘herd’ the dominant male mates with the females and only mates with the females in his herd. Because of the dominant male has excellent foraging skills the dominant females usually choose the best males to mate with and protect their young. The females offspring grow very quickly and are fully grown by the age of 6 months old and relies one their mother for about 2 years.

Social structure

The camandaffe has a very un-social life he/she will only interact with their ‘tribes’ camandaffe’s and will only accept their own offspring.

The camandaffe’s graze in tribes reflective of the giraffe DNA looking for leaves and fruits at the top of trees also the dominant female and young mostly get served first so the young becomes strong and able to live alone.

Lone male camandaffe often live quite far away from the tribe he got kicked out of and very rarely is aloud back again. Rarely you find a lone female because camandaffe males respect the females a lot!
