Jamaica has lots of animals . It has Mongeese and the Jamaican Hutia which is endangered. A Hutia is also called a Coney. There are 256 species of birds,25 species of frogs, Jamaica also has a huge population of crocodiles.

Jamaica also has more than 3,000 species of flowering plants ,Jamaica also has 550 species of ferns.

Bob Marley was a famous reggae singer.He was part of a reggae band called the wailers.He was born on the 6th of February in Nine Mile JamaicaHe died on May 11th 1981

The current Jamaican flag was raised at midnight on august 6th 1962 the day Jamaica gained it’s independence

The yellow of the flag stands for wealth and sunlight, the black stands for the hard ships and difficult times Jamaica has faced, and the green stands for Jamaica’s agricultural resources of the country and the hope of the people.
