Digbala - (DigbalanM) Dig means - direction Bala means - strength. It refersto the strength of a planet acquired due to its location in a specific direction in a

chart. It is worked out in several methods. According to one method, If Guru andBudha acquire full strength in the east ( Lagna), Ravi and Kuja in the south the 10 th

house), aniin the west (descendant, or the 7 th house), and Chandra and Sukra in

the north (the 4 th house). These positions bestow full scope to these planets to

express their potential. They enjoy maximum directional strength in these places.

Opposite to these directions, they obtain the minimal strength. According toanother system, the Ravi acquires maximum Digbala in the north (the 4 th house)

from Kuja; Guru, in the west (the 7 th house) from Budha, or the east (the 1 st house)

second half of, Dhanus and the first half of Makara attain full Digbala in 10 th or in

the southern direction.

Medical astrology is a special branch of stellar science whichis currently becoming popular: it shows the relationship between variousailments, both physical and psycholo-gical, and planetary positions.
