IXth International Conference on Production Research 17--20 August 1987, Cincinnati, OH, U.S.A.

Papers are invited for presentation at the IXth International Conference on Production Re- search (ICPR) and Exhibition which will be held in Cincinnati, U.S.A., from August 17 through August 20, 1987. The following is a partial list of topics and areas of interest:

1. Factory and Office Automation 2. Design and Planning of Work Systems, Work Station and Facilities 3. Robotics, CAD/CAM, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems 4. Reliability and Quality Control in Manufacturing 5. Ergonomics and Safety in Manufacturing 6. Production Organization, Management and Corporate Strategies 7. Production Planning (including design of production systems) and Control 8. New Manufacturing Technologies, Equipment and Concepts in Work Organization 9. Application and Trends in Production Research

10. Application of Systems Methodologies (Fuzzy sets, Forecasting, Simulation, etc) 11. Application of Industrial Engineering Methodologies 12. Issues Dealing with Maintenance, Replacement, Inventory, and Economics 13. Case Studies and Other Relevant Topics

Individuals interested in presenting papers should submit three copies of the abstract which should not exceed one 81h × 11 in. page, typed single space. It should include the title of the paper and names and addresses of all authors in the order of authorship. The deadline for sub- mitting abstracts is December 1, 1986.

The abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Program Committee and the authors will be notified of the acceptance/rejection of their papers by January 15, 1987. All accepted papers will be published in a bound proceedings which will be available at the time of the con- ference. Selected papers from the proceedings will be published in a post-conference book edited by A. Mital, Production Research: The State Of The Art (Elsevier Science Publishers, Amster- dam, The Netherlands).

The Conference hotel is the Netherland Plaza Hotel, located in downtown Cincinnati.
