Problem - 1
• a 2 month old female baby is brought with the complaints of whitish opacity in RE eyes noticed 2 days back.
• no h/o trauma / watering / redness • antenatal history – Mother had an episode of
fever with rash during her second trimester of pregnancy.
• Other details – not significant
Problem 1
• On examination
PROBLEM – 1
• what term is uesd for the whitish pupillary reflex?
• What are the differential causes for the white pupillary reflex?
• CONGENITAL cataract – etiology, investigations & management.
PROBLEM -2
• A 3 year old baby is referred from pediatrician with history of severe diarrhoea 1week back now complaining of frequent fall / bumping into objects during night time for the past 5 days.
• Vision both eyes – 6/36 ( un coop)
On eaxmination
Conj – triangular shaped , raised whitish lesion with foamy appearanceseen on the temporal side of the cornea
