  • 1. ITC was incorporated on August 24, 1910 under the name Imperial Tobacco Company of India Limited. The name of the Company was changed from Imperial Tobacco Company of India Limited to India Tobacco Company Limited in 1970 and then to I.T.C. Limited in 1974. Fast Moving Consumer Goods comprising Foods, Personal Care, Cigarettes and Cigars, Branded Apparel, Education and Stationery Products, Incense Sticks and Safety Matches, Hotels, Paperboards & Specialty Papers, Packaging, Agri-Business and Information Technology. On September 18, 2001 it changed to 'ITC Limited, India Tobacco Company

BARGAINING POWER OF CUSTOMERS If the hotel price changes are moderate, the Customers have low margins and are price-sensitive. 3.THREAT OF NEW ENTRANTS new entrants could change major determinants of the market environment (e.g. market shares, prices, customer loyalty) at any time 4.THREAT OF SUBSTITUTES A threat from substitutes exists if there are alternative products with lower prices of better performance parameters for th e same purpose. 11. ITC hotels has an exclusive tie- up with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in bringing its premium brand the Luxury Collection to India.
