Roman Period:

•First inhabitants in 7th millennium BC.

•Around 660 BC Greek sovereignty.

(King Byzas, established Byzantium)

•From 330 – 1453 Byzantine Empire

•Constantinople fell on 29th May 1453

•Limited life of the city within the walls has left its place to open

harbors.

•Transportation, trade and cultural life have started to improve.

•Since that time, the city's population and income is increasing

The İstinye Park Shopping Mall has been recently opened and has brought a new spirit to the area. The metro line has also been recently connected to this area, facilitating access and easing out the rush hour traffic.
