Club Wild will be visiting an animal rescue center in Pansol, Laguna on Saturday, May 29 th, 2010. Both MS and HS students

will be departing ISM at 7:00 A.M. and returning at 3:00 P.M. Their mission: to help build a new bearcat sanctuary.

Bearcats are our school mascot and many of us have never actually seen one up close so here is your chance. To see the

real thing, you can travel up to Laguna with us.

The center is run by a vet, Dr. Neilson Donato, from Vets in Practice . Many of the animals have been rescued from the ille-

gal wildlife trade including a North American cougar, gibbons, an Indonesia ape, many eagles, and macaws just to name of

    few.

In particular though, there are 15 breeding bearcats at the center. The animals have been imprinted by humans and cannot

be returned to the wild, but they do need a nice home.

There are already three baby bearcats that would love a new home and with your help we can make that a reality.

If you are interested in helping to fund the new sanctuary or to attend the trip, please contact Filipa Pavic at

    [email protected]

Upcoming Service Learning event on Saturday, May 29, 2010
