Invitation to Vienna for the International Society forApheresis Congress 2011
On behalf of the local organizing team of the Inter-national Society for Apheresis (ISFA) it is our plea-sure and privilege to invite you to participate in the8th ISFA Congress to be held in Vienna from 14–17September 2011.
Vienna with its great scientific and cultural heri-tage and a centuries old tradition of hosting people ofvarious cultures certainly is predestined for organiz-ing the 2011 ISFA Congress. Located in the heart ofEurope, Vienna also provides unique possibilities toexplore Austria and other eastern as well as westerncountries of Europe.
The ISFA congress will be organized together withseveral other societies dedicated to extracorporealtreatment modalities. This cooperation of various sci-entific communities will promote an interdisciplinaryexchange of ideas and experience, an integration ofbasic research and clinical medicine. Furthermore, a
special educational program (including the 3rd“Wiener Aphereseseminar”) will be offered both forclinical scientist and for nurses in particular.
The congress will be located at the hospital of theMedical University of Vienna, which is easily acces-sible from all parts of the city by underground.Present day Vienna is a cosmopolitan, dynamic citywith a booming cultural and economic life.
With its rich architecture, its famous opera house,numerous museums, the “Heurigen” wine tavernsand an acclaimed Central European “fusion cuisine”,Vienna can offer all participant of the ISFA Congressnot only a high class scientific and educationalprogram but also an extraordinary ambiance whereyou can relax, meet old and make new friends andexchange ideas. We are cordially inviting all of you tothe 8th ISFA Congress in Vienna, Austria in 2011.
