Think of X-Celerator Labs like ‘a fitness club’ for people who make things.

Individual members pay a low $99/month membership.

It gives them complete access to advanced CAE engineering labs; a CAD/CAM/CIM/CNC engineering area; a serious tech/fabricating shop; a rapid prototyping/machining and manufacturing shop; and an ‘idea” incubator for design thinkers. The ‘labs’ are designed to service 1,000 individual members. Enterprise-wide scheduling and security-tracking maintains controls.

to the essential tools and services that should accelerate their growth and development from idea formulation to prototype. Each business concept is assigned a minimal office, and works in a common area until “graduation.” When they graduate they move to the rest of the facility.

On-Site Project Management Offices

In addition, X-Celerator Labs also has On-Site Project Management Offices available for businesses who obtain the individual memberships and want to use the facility for a period-of-time to accelerate an advanced manufacturing project with an on-site team of engineers and technicians. These offices are rented on a month-by-month sf. basis and are totally secured from others.

X-Celerator Labs will incorporate Immersive Virtual Reality (CAVE VR™) in its Virtual Leadership Training Center so advanced engineering and manufacturing concepts can be envisioned.X-Celerator Labs’ Virtual Leadership Training Center allows for dynamic simulations, analysis of 3D CAD designs, as well as experimental studies. This technology allows the user to experience the feeling of using real items without actually first building them, saving roll-out time and costs.

X-Celerator Labs’ Micro-Teaching Factory empowers members to safely and successfully learn to use advanced rapid manufacturing equipment at the facility and elsewhere, and to achieve professional, safety, standards, and OEM operational certifications. ‘Hands-on’ courses include: Machine Safety, CAD/CNC software, Electronics, Fabrication, Laser Cutting, Immersive VR, 3D Printing and Stereolithography, Prototyping, Sintering, Machining, Metal Shop, Wood Shop, Polymers, Electronic Circuitry, Textiles, Sewing, Aerospace, Welding/Hot Shop, Wet Shop, Energy/Power Generation, New Product Development, Bioengineering, Additive Methods, and more.

Advanced VirtualConference Rooms

Collective group and project collaboration are critical elements at X-Celerator Labs. All Conference Rooms of the facility are designed to optimize video-conferencing with the rest of the world via the Internet. Each room, regardless of size, is designed to optimize the abilities to draw in additional human resources and/or professional development facilitators via video-conference from anywhere in the world. Further, the rooms are laid out in different formats for different group discussions, training, facilitation, and workshops.

Members and guests can buy all they need -- hardware/software, tech/fab raw materials, safety clothing, OEM goods, training and certification materials, gift cards, office and engineering supplies, etc.

There are also plenty of open workspaces, free snacks, a communal kitchen, and relaxation areas — all to foster plenty of collaborative discussions.

This is perfect for inventors, businesses, makers, hackers, tinkerers, artists, roboteers, families, entrepreneurs, youth groups, robotic teams, arts and crafts enthusiasts, and anyone else who wants to be able to make things that they dream up but don't have the tools, space or skills; or cannot afford millions of dollars laid out for state-of-the-art equipment.

Engineering Floor


By using the engineering areas, design thinkers can truly explore things that they dream up without traditional limits, supported within a collective, collaborative, and shared environment.

WHERE IDEAS TAKE FORM

The 2nd Floor Core activity of X-Celerator Labs is to “advance the latest rapid engineering techniques.” It consists of an advanced Engineering Floor, as well as ten specialty advanced engineering labs and it operates to enhance disruptive innovation.The Engineering Floor assists individuals and businesses to work collaboratively and locally within the facility, or virtually with teams located anywhere in the world. It is the locus of “where ideas take form.”

The 2nd Floor also includes Ten Specialty Area Advanced Engineering R&D Labs which provide the latest capabilities to explore ideas in: • advanced and alternative power and energy• combustion, propulsion, and aerospace• airfoil creation; robotics engineering• biotech engineering and biomechanics• advanced polymer and vinyl engineering• process improvement• automated systems• electronics and integrated printed circuits• QA testing• advanced engineering and manufacturing• advanced composites

• new materials and surfacants. Once designed and developed in the lab, the concepts can then be machined, prototyped, and tested in the first floor Tech Shop.

High-Performance Computing and Communications Core


X-Celerator Labs’ backbone is a High-Performance Computing and Communications Core or (HPCCC) and serves as the focal point for all HPCCC activities within the Center. The HPCCC provides a collaboratory for 3D Informatics, Enterprise Management, Engineering Informatics in automation and systems, and Integration Informatics with CIM and CNC machining and prototyping.
