The Ex-DTM A2109/LSR is ideal for fastlaser-accurate measurement of therevolution of a shaft (either with or withoutcontact) and speed (utilising the specialadapter) in Zone 1. The simple 3 push-button operation and the large clearly-readable display with over-head facilityenables a wide, flexible field of application.This light-weight device provides an easyone handed operation and facilitates thecarrying-out of measurements after whichit can be stowed away in the tool box orjacket pocket.Applications are to be found in theprocess-control field for the contactlessmeasurement of the revolutions of a shaftat a safe distance using a laser beam. Forboiler mixers, the rotor speed can beread-off from the drive shaft at a safedistance and documented. Motorrevolutions can be acquired contactlesslyin the immediate vicinity without havingto open or remove safety fittings such ascovers or protective grills. The durationof pulses or the intervals between themcan be simply, easily and accuratelyascertained. Data can be simply acquiredwithin Ex-protected areas without havingto switch machines off because laser-accurate measurements can be made ata safe distance through protective devicesthus complying with safety regulations. Thetransport speed of conveyor belts can beexactly measured using the add-on adapterand thus directly recorded in thedocumentation.
