Instructions

1. Once you are connected, your internet browser window will display a log-in screen. Click “Activate SJSUOne Account”.

Click on “Activate SJSU ID Account”.

You can also create your SJSUOne Wireless Account by clicking “Activate Account” at this website: http://its.sjsu.edu/services/sjsuone/

2. Enter your SJSU ID (this is the number on your SJSU Student ID card.

Your Student ID number usually starts with

Your email address

3. The activation system will send an email to the email address you used when you applied to International Gateways. Check your email for the link to set your password.

a) If you did not enter a US/local address when you applied to iGateways, check “Address Outside US”.

Do not enter anything in the box for “Mailing ZIP”

b) If you did enter a US/local address when you applied to iGateways, enter the 5-digit US mailing ZIP code that you used when you applied in the box for “Mailing ZIP”.

The “Mailing ZIP” has 5 digits.

3. Choosing a password can be a little bit tricky. Your password must be at least 8 characters and not more than 16 characters long.

Your password must contain:-one letter- one number- one special character (for example: ~, !, #, $, %, &, *)Do not use the @ sign.Do not use your name or address.Passwords may not contain spaces.

4. It is highly recommended that you keep a copy of the answers to the 5 security questions in a safe place. If you ever forget your password, or need to reactivate it, you will need to know these answers.

5. After you filled out all the information, the SJSUOne system will scan your laptop to make sure it is virus-protected. If there are any problems, the computer will be quarantined and you will not have access to the internet until the problem is fixed. Be sure you have the updated anti-virus software on your system.

1. You can to add money (Gold Points) to your SJSU ID card. Do this online at Spartan shops, Dining Commons, or 2nd floor library.

2. You use your ID Card to buy printing and copies.

3. You can also use these points to buy food and items at the bookstore

4. Library--During summer session, students can check out laptop or iPad or MacBook from the Circulation Desk on the first floor.

5. Student Union- You can rent laptops, fax documents, get your computer repaired, print documents

Activating your Canvas Account

• Canvas is the Learning Management System (Online Classroom) used by all of SJSU.

• You will need to login to access assignments and class materials. This is required by your teachers.

• Use your SJSU One login (Student ID + password) to access your Canvas course.

Activating your Canvas Account

Login to Canvas

Click on the first link on the left side menu “SJSU Canvas Online Classroom”

Go to our Student Hub @ student.moodle.sjsu.edu

You should now see this page. Enter your SJSU One account login information

You should now see the Canvas home page. From here click on ‘Courses’ on the top left menu and

select your class.
