1. TFC-USA-01 Request of Permit to Provide International Freight Cross-Border Services

1.1. SIAF application process Sistema Institucional de Autotransporte Federal

1. Go to www.sct.gob.mx/transfronterizo and start an application. Click on “Nuevo Trámite”

2. Select the values displayed below to register the information of the company: Tipo de permisionario (Type of authorization): Transfronterizo de Carga Internacional Tipo de Trámite (Type of registry): Alta de Empresa Transfronterizo de Carga Internacional Seleccione la Oficina donde su Solicitud será atendida (Issuing Office): Centro Metropolitano.

Click on “Guardar” (Save).

Click on “Nuevo Trámite”

to start the application.

3. The next page will display a folio. Please, keep this number with you for future

references. Click on “Declaración de características” to fulfill the application.

4. On the next page you will be able to complete the form with the required company’s

information. All fields are required. Do not leave any blanks.

5. At the end of the application, use the link “ADJUNTAR” to attach all the required documents in PDF format. Once you complete the application, you can save the information clicking on “Guardar”.

6. A text box will pop up asking to confirm if all information is correct. If so, click on “Aceptar” (Ok)

7. You will be able to modify (“Modificar”) the information if you need it. If everything is correct, print (“Imprimir”) the application to present it (with the original documentation attached) to the Metropolitan Center once you receive an appointment notification. Then, click on “Tipo de Trámite” to complete the submission.

8. You will get back to the screen of “Tipo de Trámite”. Click on “Finalizar Trámite” (Finish Application) to send the application to the Metropolitan Center. If you don’t click on “Finalizar Trámite”, the application will not be received by the Metropolitan Center.

9. The information of the company has been sent to the Metropolitan Center.

Please continue to submit the information of the company’s vehicle fleet and drivers that are to participate in the program. Repeat the steps you followed to register the company. Click on “Nuevo Trámite” to start the vehicle fleet and driver application. Vehicle Fleet To register the vehicle fleet, select the next values:

Drivers To register the drivers, select the next values:

Tipo de permisionario (Type of authorization): Transfronterizo de Carga Internacional Tipo de Trámite (Type of registry): Alta Conductor Transfronterizo de Carga Internacional Seleccione la Oficina donde su Solicitud será atendida (Issuing Office): Centro Metropolitano.

IMPORTANT: The registries of the company, vehicle fleet and drivers have three different folios. The three folios form the TFC-USA-01 application. Keep these folios with you for future references.

2. TFC-USA-02 Request of appointment for Safety Assessment.

2.1. Filling in the format TFC-USA-02 is a request of appointment to the Metropolitan Center for a Safety Assessment. TFC-USA-02 is one of the documents required in format TFC-USA-01. Use the text displayed on the TFC-USA-02 to print it on a company’s letterhead. You will need to fill in the blanks. Use the next tables for this purpose:

Vehicle Fleet Information

Field Description

Vehículos que se solicita se autoricen a operar el servicio de autotransporte transfronterizo de carga internacional y NIV de cada unidad. (Confirmar los vehículos que el solicitante registró en la solicitud TFC-USA-01)

Vehicles that will be subjected to the Safety Assessment and their NIVs. Only vehicles registered in TFC-USA-01 can be included in this format.

IMPORTANT:

Keep the original TFC-USA-02 with you. This letter, as all other required documents indicated in TFC-USA-01, will be needed in original when the Metropolitan Center notifies an appointment to process the provisional/permanent permit in Mexico City.
