DP3...Where are we?DP3...Where are we?April 15 critical milestone – PPM comes
online within DPS…floodgates opened!Broken promise – “We will not role out
during Peak Season.”Currently almost 70% of ALL DOD
traffic moving through DPS…BUT what does this really mean? No more JOLT!
As a result it is VERY likely we will not have a summer TOPS Solicitation.
Damn the torpedoes…Full Speed Ahead!!
2010 Peak Season Review2010 Peak Season ReviewDomestic Capacity Issues….Why? IAM
says……◦ Shift in volume to DPS right before Peak Season◦ Recession caused reduction in drivers/crews◦ Rates◦ Traffic Distribution Methodology – “Feast or
Famine”◦ Increase in Commercial Traffic – COD & Nat Acct◦ Lack of Granularity in Blackout Capability◦ Little data to help determine when and how
much traffic a TSP will receive ◦ DPS Performance Issues & shift in
responsibilities from PPSOs to TSPs ◦ PPSO response to TSP requests, e.g. SIT, pre-
approvals
2010 Peak Season Review2010 Peak Season ReviewInternational Capacity Issues….
◦ Agent capacity – overcome with issues associated with Domestic Market, e.g. - APUs, short notice shipments, reduction in work force
◦ Liftvans – some faced difficulties in replenishing liftvans in a timely fashion
◦ Lack of Granularity in Blackout Capability◦ Little data to help determine when and how
much traffic a TSP will receive….if any at all ◦ PPSO response to TSP requests, e.g. SIT, pre-
approvals◦ Overall…..International Market did NOT face
the same major capacity issues that were seen in the Domestic arena!!!!!
““Looking Ahead”Looking Ahead”Aug 16 & 17 – SDDC Peak Season
“After Action” Meeting – Major Discussion Topics◦Blackout Capability◦Shipment Distribution◦Short Fuse Shipments◦Capacity/Turnbacks/Refusals◦Rates◦TSP/Agent Relationship◦CFAC or Redefining what is meant
by…TSP
““Looking Ahead” cont.Looking Ahead” cont.We must ensure that program
changes made to the overcome issues faced in the Domestic Market do not have a detrimental effect to the International Market.
We need to look at each Market independently. Each is unique!
Enhanced financials requirements are a real possibility!
SDDC’s new perspective on CSS….
Open SeasonOpen SeasonNo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?…….2010
Peak Season IssuesSDDC worried about bringing new
TSPs into the “flawed” DP3/DPS environment
Will new TSPs bring new capacity???Will we have an Open Season next
year???Will new program entry guidelines
be established?? CFAC, tougher financial restrictions

ENHANCING MEMBER SERVICESENHANCING MEMBER SERVICES
A Greater Understanding of how IAM serves it members:
1. IAM Shipper Guides2. Receivable Protection Program (RPP)3. Hall of Honor4. YP-355. Development of the Numeric Codification of Contents
for Electronic Inventories and Manifests of Household Goods and Personal Shipments.
A Better Comprehension on how to take advantage of IAM Programs
A view to the future on what initiatives IAM is working on for the Members’ benefit.
IAM Shipper GuidesIAM Shipper Guides
Over the past year, IAM has updated over 60 Shipper Guides.
After the Annual Meeting, IAM will be soliciting customs updates from countries that we do not have updates for.
What does the future hold?1 Create a Shipper Guide for each of the different
countries represented in our membership2 Maintain Shipper Guides once created3 Develop applications for mobile devices to
access the Shipper Guides remotely4 Generate consumer referrals from the Shipper
Guide website to our member’s websites5 Establish a more user-friendly webpage for the
Shipper Guides
The Receivable Protection The Receivable Protection Program (RPP)Program (RPP)
Statistics:
1. 110 Members currently enrolled2. IAM received seven different claims for the 2009-2010
fiscal year3. In total, IAM paid out $21,014.17 to satisfy those claims.4. Averaged out, IAM is paying out just over $3,000 per
claim this year. 5. The fee to sign up right now is $650.
In the future, IAM will be instituting a new feature for the RPP. The new feature will be an Invoice Dispute Resolution
Program. During the past year, IAM has ramped up oversight and
intervention. By tracking this information, it has heightened our ability to
predict those companies who may initiate RPP Claims. IAM will publish a list of the alleged debtors that we have on
file only to RPP Members.
The IAM Hall of HonorThe IAM Hall of Honor
32 people have been inducted into the Hall of Honor since its initiation three years ago.
Improvements made to the Hall of Honor in the past year:
1. Greater Geographic Viewpoint with the inclusion of an Asia-based Selection Committee Member.
2. New voting system that increases impartiality during voting.
3. A limit on the number of inductees per year. Please nominate those people who you feel are worthy
of inclusion in the Hall of Honor.

Young Professionals (YP-35)Young Professionals (YP-35)
As of September 15th, the YP-35 has 178 members.
At this point last year, there were only 103 members.
Governing Members can sign up three YP-35 members free of charge.
These statistics represent a renewed enthusiasm among young professionals throughout our industry.
What is responsible for the greater enthusiasm:
1. A greater commitment from IAM to provide support to the YP-35.
2. Outreach efforts like the YP-35 sponsorship of the Young Movers Conference.
3. Enhanced communication to members4. IAM’s membership reclassification.5. A new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson are set to take
over after the meeting.
What does the future hold?
1. Harness the YP-35 to take the lead on IAM’s new partnership with Carbonfund.org.
2. Cultivate stronger links between other industry youth-oriented groups through a Young Movers Leadership Summit
3. Development of a YP-35 Mentorship Program4. Study tours
Each of these programs would promote the professional development of YP-35 members, increase their contacts worldwide, and benefit the IAM membership as well.
Most importantly, these initiatives would help develop the leadership skills of young members in our Association.

Development of Electronic Development of Electronic Numeric Code Codification Numeric Code Codification StandardStandard
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved the standard in late July.
The standards have been developed with assistance from our partners at FIDI, FEDEMAC, CAM, AMSA, PAIMA, and other associations throughout the world.
IAM will be submitting the standard to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
International Recognition of the Standard would yield certain benefits:
1. Greater Business Efficiency 2. Better Ability to Comply with Future Customs
Regulations
