MotherboardIs the heart of the computer. Every other component of the computers
is attached to it. The components use it to communicate and work to each other through it. The motherboard has slots to attach the components.
MicroprocessorThis is the brain of the computer, it’s also refer as the
processor or the chip. The processor communicates with the other components and does all the thinking. The processor performs
mathematical calculations and the software that people use translates its calculations into useful functions to us.
(Intel, AMD)
RAMStores information temporally. RAM store files that the
processor is currently using.
Graphics CardConvert information that we don´t not understand into
the images and text that we can see in our monitor. Some new graphic cardsincorporate some memory to improve the performance.
( NVIDIA Corporation, ATI Technologies, Matrox)
Power supplyIt supplies power to the components. It is located at the top of
the computer case- The power supply has a fan to keep itself and the computer cool.
Hard discThe hard disk stores information permanently. The information is stored stores in the hard disk and the computer access them
as they are needed. When the computer access the hard drive its moving and reading information into the RAM memory, however
the original information is still in the hard disk. (Seagate, Western Digital, Hitachi)
