Intermodal challenges are multi-dimensional – whether you are a shipper determining how best to move freight across multiple transport modes, a terminal operator wanting to reduce costs through improved efficiencies or a rail operator seeking the right rail car design, fleet composition, or ownership model to maximize returns.

Whatever the challenge, a long-term vision and an understanding of all viable options, backed-up by thorough execution planning, are key to delivering the right project.

The challenge

Today’s and Tomorrow’s Challenges

Procurement/Development/Financing

Site selection Brownfield precinct constraints

Adequate intermodal infrastructure to meet growing demand Determining the most appropriate modes of transport

Collective community attitudes Stringent regulatory environment

Congestion and environmental impact

Asset reliability and efficiency Cost of ownership
