Intergroup & Third party Peace making Interventions Blake Shepard & Mouton The Target for these is to Improve inter-group RELATIONS by increasing Communication And Interaction between these , reduce Dysfunctional Competition with promoting a concern for Organisational Objectives . It is applicable where relations amongst groups are Hostile /Strained Steps in Interventions:- 1.Leaders of concerned groups (Two) meet consultant and their admittance to Possibilities of Improving Relations and look for ways to do so. A time & Place for this is planned 2. Intervention Commences .Groups meet in independent rooms and list (1 st ) their Feelings, Attitudes , Thoughts & Perceptions of the other Group. The other list (2 nd ) attempts to capture ‘s Predictions of the Other Groups (Dislikes)Opinion about them . 3.Groups come Together in Consultants presence and share the Lis initially the 1 st list and then the 2 nd List .No Discussion is allowed.

Groups Make a Priority List of Resolutions still untouched.

5. Groups meet up and share& Compare NEW list, Set Priorities (Time & Importance) and Action Plan on individual contribution for Resolution. Intervention concluded

6.REVIEW – Advised to see the Faring of the Charted plan and maintaining momentumVariation can include 3 Lists a Positive, Bug and Empathy listing
