Intelligent Automatic Plant Irrigation System

ABSTRACT

The main aim of this paper is to provide automatic irrigation to the plants which helps in

saving money and water. The entire system is controlled using 8051 micro controller which isprogrammed as giving the interrupt signal to the sprinkler. Temperature sensor and humiditysensor are connected to internal ports of micro controller via comparator,When ever there is a

change in temperature and humidity of the surroundings these sensors senses the change in

temperature and humidity and gives an interrupt signal to the micro-controller and thus the

sprinkler is activated.

due to the lack of knowledge as will as financial pro"lem in every field there is a success, like

need of the plant, at that time our pro%ect is necessary for the plant to receive the water as per

there need. *n summer the climatic condition is very high at that time plant reuires more water

so this small processor "ased unit is used to control the watering system.

utomatic irrigation systems are convenient, especially for those who travel. *f installedand programmed properly, , automatic irrigation systems can even save you money and help in

water conservation. 6ead lawn grass and plants need to "e replaced, and that can "e e#pensive.

7ut the savings from automatic irrigation systems can go "eyond that. Watering with a hose orwith oscillator wastes water. !either method targets plant roots with any significant degree of

precision. utomatic irrigation systems can "e programmed to discharge more precise amounts

of water in a targeted area, which promotes water conservation.
