IMPORTANT
Make sure you have download permissions on the PC/Mac.(If not, contact your parent/mentor/teacher for help)
Be prepared to spend about 15 mins to complete installation.
Note: You must install MATLAB and Simulink before installing this support package. For instructions on installing MATLAB and Simulink, go here.

Step 1: Install MATLAB and Simulink
You must install MATLAB and Simulink before installing the VEX support package. For detailed instructions on installing MATLAB and Simulink, go here.

Step 2: Download VEX Support Package
Go to http://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/vex-arm-cortex.html
and click on
This will download a .mlpkginstall file to your computer.

Step 3: Install VEX Support Package
Open the .mlpkginstall file and it will automatically launch MATLAB and open the Support Package Installer.
Choose an Installation folder and click Next. Follow the dialog prompt to continue installation.
NOTE: If you are reinstalling the support package, the installer will first uninstall the existing one and then install the new version.

Step 3: Install VEX Support Package
It takes approx. 15 minutes to complete downloading and installing all the components of the support package.

Step 3: Install VEX Support Package
After installation is done, click Finish to close the wizard.
You can also choose to view the Tutorials and Demos.

Step 4: Next StepsTo begin using Simulink for your robot, go to MATLAB Desktop Window and find the APPS tab on the top.
Click on
This will open the VEX Support Package Companion App
Open one of the Example Models and test it with your robot!
