Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds is a documentary lm cre-ated by Canadian lm maker and meditation teacherDaniel Schmidt. The lm was released in 2012.The lm was released for free online. It has been narratedin English, French, Spanish, German and Hindi and thereare subtitles for 17 languages. The movie won a numberof awards at lm festivals, including the Award of Excel-lence at the Canada International Film Festival.

1 Background

The lms creator Daniel Schmidt is a Canadian lmmaker and is also a musician and meditation teacher.[1]

Schmidt and his wife Eva Dametto run the Breathe TrueYoga Center in Ontario, Canada.[2] Schmidt studied vari-ous forms ofmeditation beforemaking the lm including,the traditions of Buddhism, Taoism and the Yogic tradi-tions of India. He also studied various mystical traditionsfrom various cultures.[1]

2 Production

The lm was created by Schmidt with support from hiswife Dametto. Schmidt wrote the screenplay, composedan original music score, created the fractal ame imagery,directed, edited, produced and funded the lm. The lmdrew on his background in philosophy, his experience inthe television, music and animation industries, and hispersonal enthusiasm for meditation.EvaDametto is a performing and visual artist, a teacher ofchakra and hatha yoga, and an expressive arts practitioner.She was involved in the shaping and editing process andalso created and performed some of the mantras in thelm.The lm incorporates footage of water vibration fromGerman cymatics researcher Alexander Lauterwasser.The 2012 conrmation of the existence of the Higgs Bo-son or the God Particle was incorporated in the lm.The lm also includes fractal animation footage fromartist Jock Cooper as well as music from the Australianmusician Indiajiva.During the production of the lm, Daniel and Eva de-cided that it would be released for free.[3]

3 ReceptionInner Worlds, Outer Worlds received positive reviews forits unique take on the universe and a rating of 8.4/10from 326 reviews on IMDb,[4] and also received positivereviews in the media. In July 2013 Inner Worlds OuterWorlds was listed on TopDocumentaryFilms.com.[5]

4 AwardsIn early February 2013 after its release, the lmwas nom-inated for the Award of Excellence at the Canada Inter-national Film Festival.[6] The lm won the Peace Awardof Excellence at the International Festival for Peace, In-spiration and Equality[7] in Indonesia, and also won theMerit Award of Awareness at the Awareness Festival inCalifornia. It was the winner of Award of Excellencefor the International Film Festival for Spirituality, Reli-gion and Vision in Indonesia, and winner for Best Fea-ture Documentary in the DIY Film Festival, California.In the Moving Images Film Festival in Toronto it wonbest of the Future World showcase. Inner Worlds OuterWorlds was nominated for the Cosmic Angel Award atthe Cosmic Cine Film Festival 2014 in Germany. It wasthe winner of an Eternal Flame Award Surge Film Fes-tival, Texas. Inner Worlds was selected by a jury of lmmakers as the winner of the FILMMAKERS CHOICE(Conscious Art) award in the Spirit Enlightened festivalin June 2014.[8] Inner Worldsmovie was an ocial selec-tion in 19 lm festivals worldwide.
