How it worked
And why it didn’t actually work (again!)
What we expected to fail• Algorithms• Experience
What actually failed• Paradox of choice• Old habits die hard
Users can choose to plan anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days for any of the dozens of cities we’ll cover
Fresh events are pulled from partners like TimeOut, Viator, Groupon and others. These are further curated every day by our editorial team
Our algorithms take into account where the user is standing, what the weather is, how far places are, transportation, hours etc to fit these choices in the best possible plan. Instantly.
User opens the app…
… chooses places
App creates a perfect plan a. b. c.
We’ve built hooks into booking APIs but also backend ops to book everything from event tickets to taxis

…that finally saw strong successChosen as “Best new app” Reached #3 in Travel Users have loved it
Was planning to go to some attractions in Singapore when I came across this app. It is an excellent help as it knows the places and can suggest the route to take between places and which ones to go at what time...Thumbs up to a very useful app for travel to Singapore!!
Beautifully crafted and can't wait to explore SF through this app. Planned itineraries with things I have explicitly stated together with what the app figures out are a great way to discover a city. Well done
And why it almost didn’t work
What we expected to fail• User acquisition• Retention
What actually failed• Locals were using it

“It really is very impressive. Beautiful design, intuitive UX, great frontend coding and smart information architecture. I've had a crack at building a trip planner so I know how hard it is. I might actually start using this myself :)”
Mygola could (at last) be the startup to make your travel planning dreams come true
