Overview

The Infrastructure Branch manages the University’s $1.8 billion facilities portfolio. We provide services to support the University’s learning, teaching and research activities.

Infrastructure Branch plays an active role in ensuring the campuses and physical facilities of the University continue to develop, adapt and improve in a complex, competitive and changing higher education environment.

Our role is to ensure a strong performing asset portfolio and customer-focused project and service delivery.

We aim to be a trusted co-creation partner, delivering value for money, high quality project outcomes and service excellence.

Scoping & Project Delivery Whether its a small job or major refurbishment, we provide full services from inception through to completion of capital works.

Cleaning & Waste Management Our service level committment to cleaning and waste services can be accessed online. We can also arrange regular or ad hoc cleaning services for your area.

Facilities & Venue Hire Do you need to book a room or venue on campus? If it’s for a meeting or a conference, we can help you book and plan your event on any of our campuses.

Security & Access Staff, student or visitors access, requests, visiting after hours, immediate access to buildings and CTAs, security escorts, and alarm monitoring.

Relocations We will help you to develop a relocation plan that fits your needs, allowing you to stay focused on the day-to-day operations of your business.

Maintenance We aim to provide well maintained facilities and grounds through a planned maintenance schedule. However, if you notice something out of place, please let us know and we will work to fix it.

Strategic Asset & Space Management We develop and provide strategic advice on infrastructure options to meet faculty and divisional needs to help you get the best out of your facilities.

Transport & Parking We provide a free after hours shuttle bus service, inter-campus transport, and manage parking facilities across the University.

Mail & Courier Services We coordinate Toll and Australia Post to provide courier requirements for all University departments including local, interstate and international services.

Signage We ensure a professional standard of signage is developed with consideration of the University brand, and in line with Signage and Wayfinding Standards.

Maintenance

We aim to provide well-maintained facilities and grounds through a planned maintenance schedule. However, if you notice something out of place please let us know and we will work to fix it.

Toll Priority and Australia Post provide all courier requirements for all University Departments including local, intrastate, interstate and international services.

The University of Adelaide’s Infrastructure Strategy 2013-2018 addresses the University’s future infrastructure requirements with respect to both facilities and technology.

Strategy

The Strategy guides the overall direction, priorities, and objectives for the University’s infrastructure planning (both facilities and technology), while retaining the flexibility to respond to specific conditions or requirements as they emerge.

The Infrastructure Investment Plan is an indicative five year rolling program of capital works which is informed by the Infrastructure Strategy. Assessed annually based on a review of needs and funding availability, the IIP outlines the annual capital allocation for both facilities and technology projects.

Infrastructure Investment Plan (IIP)

The Masterplan has developed the guiding principles and vision for the future. It is a long-term, aspirational plan; a guide to the development of our campuses in the future rather than a prescriptive blueprint. The next stage is to develop comprehensive business cases for the lead projects, including feasibility studies.

Campus Masterplans

Leads the management and strategic direction of the University’s leased property portfolio. Management of University co-location partner agreements, as well as lease and tenancy management.

Leasing & Retail

Responsible for leading the development of the strategic approach to the management, planning and investment in the University’s extensive and diverse property portfolio.
