Infrared Marker Device (IMD) Covert signaling device that is deployed by simple
removing the top and throwing the small size
device into the air or on the ground. Special py-
rophoric material is released from the container
and oxidizes, heats and emits IR energy. The IR
output cannot be seen by the naked eye and can
only be seen by thermal sights.
