Why choose this course?This course has been designed anddeveloped with industry to ensure youdevelop valuable and much sought afterskills in the design, development andmanagement of IT products and services.
About the courseIn your first year you’ll explore differentareas of IT and business to give you asolid foundation in the subject before yougo on to develop expertise in informationtechnology.
How you’ll learnThroughout the course you’ll gain theknowledge and develop the skills that theindustry are looking for. You’ll study in ourstate-of-the-art facilities, including ourdedicated computing labs.You’ll also spend a year in industry onplacement, working alongside industryprofessionals, enhancing your careerprospects and giving you a distinctadvantage in the job market.
Your careerAs an information technology graduateyou’ll find career opportunities in virtuallyany area of computing and informationtechnology. You could become a systemsarchitect, IT director, help-desksupervisor, systems engineer, or anetwork technician. Alternatively youcould start your own business developingand managing your own IT products andservices.

Entry requirements: Academic – 240 UCAS tariff points, ofwhich at least 200 must be from yourInternational Baccalaureate or equivalentqualification.

Additional informationThis course is taught by experiencedinformation technology specialists and ex-industry professionals who continue tomaintain active links to the industry. Wework closely with the SAS AcademicAlliance and teach with their software onthis programme. You’ll also study acommon year which is shared amongst allour technical degrees to ensure studentspossess the foundational knowledgeneeded to complete their studies.
