The Republic of Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Indonesia comprises 17,508 islands. With a population of around 230 million people, it's the world's fourth most populous country.

Indonesia has the fifth largest population in the world(+-180million) which equals the combined population of all other South East Asian countries.

Indonesia has around 300 ethnic groups, each with Cultural differences developed over centuries, and influenced by Indian, Arabic, Chinese, Malay, and European sources.

Textiles such as batik ikat and songket are created across Indonesia in styles that vary by region at Sports in Indonesia are generally male-orientated and spectator sports are often associated with illegal gambling. The Indonesian archipelago has been an important trade region since at least the seventh century, when Srivijaya and then later Majapahit traded with China and India. Local rulers gradually adopted Indian cultural, religious and political models from the early centuries CE, and Hindu and Buddhist kingdoms flourished. Indonesian history has been influenced by foreign powers drawn to its natural resources.

The movement advocates the payment of a higher price to producers as well as social and environmental standards. It focuses in particular on exports from developing countries to developed countries, most notably handicrafts, coffee, cocoa, sugar, tea, bananas, honey, cotton, wine, fresh fruit, chocolate and flowers.
