UFlex making steady strides towards GREENER tomorrow by adopting eco-friendly processess Mr. Ashok Chaturvedi, Chairman and Managing Director, UFlex Ltd, India’s largest and fastest growing flexible packaging company, in an interview to Asian Age said that in 1992 when the use of plastic was perceived to be a threat to the environment the company successfully developed a technology that could reprocess mixed plastic waste into granulation. This is used to make articles made of waste materials like the back cover of a TV, benches etc. UFlex is completely eco-friendly in all its manufacturing processes and uses Green MEG for poly condensation process. The overall emphasis is on reducing the carbon footprints and being more environment friendly and sustainable. Uflex has been awarded the Best paper Award in 1995 for the recycling of mixed plastic wastage and in 1997 Govt. of India also awarded UFlex with the same honour.
