Live Interactions Powered by

Immerss

Arthur Veytsman
The idea behind Immerss came to Alex, while he was enjoying incredible sounds of jazz in a not-so-known jazz club in Greenwich -Village NY, performed by not-so-famous local jazz band. We all experienced this magic before: incredibly talented, and oftentimes unknown people (performers, teachers, instructors), that capture your imagination in a flash, and leave you with an unforgettable experience. The premise behind Immerss is to enable this talent to be discovered and shared with the world. UBER, AirBnB, Etsy, YouTube…they all have something in common - they gave ordinary people a means to make money by sharing their underutilized resources for people to discover, connect, share and gain from each other. Similarly, Immerss is here to disrupt the live content sharing economy by uncovering and leveraging the world’s underutilized talent.

DISCOVERY

Arthur Veytsman
So what problems are we solving? What separates the Talent from the Audience? We’ve identified 3 key barriers.First is Discovery: the Talent wants a way to be found and the Audience wants to have access to a large variety of content. Where do you go today to find interactive class in French, Cooking lesson in sushi, tutoring for the SATs, yoga practice on demand? Is there a single site you can think of that is a default for live and interactive content – like YouTube is for recorded content? We couldn’t find one. The second barrier is Geography: Often times we just don’t have access to what we want in our locale. The Audience wants to be able to reach presenters without accruing unnecessary expenses in travel and not worrying about meeting locations. And the Talent wants to be able to reach new audiences outside of their immediate geography. And then of course there is money. Even if you are able to find the talent you are stuck paying for the experience at the determined hourly rate. There is no way for you to share the cost of that talent with another person and pay the fraction of the rate. So often times it is simply unaffordable. How many kids can’t take SAT prep course because it is price prohibitive? At the same time Talent is often underutilized in the off-pick hours and would gladly offer better rates at that time. An LA yoga studio is probably empty during the day and its instructors could make extra money while it’s 3 pm in LA yet its 6 pm in NY.

So how do you solve all those problems at once? We created Immerss – a single platform that covers Discovery, Community, Experience and Gain. The Talent is enabled to do what they do best – present on their subject – and we take care of the rest. We help them get discovered, we connect them to their followers, we enable them to produce live content, and we empower them to earn money. While we are building our live content library we’re also building a new community. People that purchase the same sessions are meeting each other and forming new friendships across the world. And then there is the experience. Our platform allows the presenter to produce live interactive session with up to 24 recipients in a virtual room, at the same time stream the whole session live to a limitless audience, at the same time record it for future distribution. Our video player is complete with a set of tools for the presenter to control the environment. With Immerss the Presenter posts their rate per chair and now the consumer gets to experience the talent at the fraction of the full rate. Therefore we are empowering the sharing economy.

Arthur Veytsman
When we started conceptualizing the business model simplifying the complex was one of our goals. We attract the talent. The Talent produces live content. The Consumers buy this content often at the fraction of a full rate. We collect from consumer, retain our portion, and distribute the balance to the presenter. To engage with talent we removed all economic barriers for them to sign-up and start presenting. There are no fees to start or remain on the platform. Each presenter is setup is an independent merchant with their own customizable landing page. After the profile is established, they schedule sessions, set their prices and begin to deliver live content. We provide the tools for presenters to invite their existing followers through all major social media channels, as well as Immerss. The session is also promoted through our recommendation engine and our LiveGuide, which btw is fully embeddable to other sites. Just like TV Guide was distributed in the old days our LiveGuide acts as a promotional piece across the web.We operate in revenue split model, however as a presenter brings more revenue they get to retain a larger share.

Organic SEO Drives Results

Arthur Veytsman
Immerss is an online marketplace, which begs the question – who do we market to first – Talent? Audience? Both? Well… marketing to both is hard and expensive. So we start by recruiting potential Presenters with a high-following. The Immerss portal is designed so every presenter can function independently as a business within a business and we incentivize each presenter to bring their followers to the platform. Our next target is Talent Aggregators – YogaTrail, Guitar.com, Chef Mixer to name the few. These are businesses that cater to a single vertical. We can bring them additional revenue in exchange for Presenters. Next effort extends to inbound marketing by a specific vertical and specialty bloggers. And finally small business – Immerss will act as a technology arm to stream their content out of existing premises.Another important achievement to point out - Immerss Profiles, Presentations and sessions have been highly optimized for Search Engines using the latest SEO techniques. In the example seen to the right, a new presenter was able to rank on the first page of Google within a week of creating their profile. This ranking ability will help fuel our Organic growth as well as increase a Presenters online exposure.

Investing in tech takes real finesse and more importantly the right timing. Two years ago we started Immerss with a vision that by the time we finish the product, the space will be ready for us. For our model to be successful all the planets had to align just right, and in fact they did. 2015 has been an exciting year for video and here is where stand:MVP released in April of 14 and followed by Seed Round of 750 thousand dollars.Soft launched in Private Beta in May of this year with a goal of signing up 50 presenters and make product improvements through user feedback. The next goal is to raise the following round and launch public beta by end of this year.Couple of things that play in our favor:Experienced team – Preethi brings great energy along with an Ivy League MBA with 10 years of business experience, Alex brings 15 years of complex system architecture and implementation. And Arthur comes with 16 years of entrepreneurial experience over 5 successful ventures. The platform is built which minimizes the risk for follow-on investors. The market opportunity is massive and global. So I am going to pretend like we are on Shark Tank and ask - Who is ready to Immerss with us?
