The Bent Bullet - Transmedia Extension
The X-Men franchise recently released a real-world tie-in/marketing website for the new film X-Men: Days of FuturePast. The site and video called The Bent Bullet, weaves X-Men mutants into JFK conspiracy theories blending the realand fictional into an alternative history genre mashup.
Magneto bent the bullets fired by Oswald, causing one ofthem to hit JFK. He was arrested and convicted of killing thepresident, and locked in an underground prison. Magnetorefused to talk and the site presents all the speculationaround the poorly reported events. Included are quotes frommutant scientific authorities, and additional timelinemashups of real and fictional events.

24 Hours of Happy - Interactive Music Video
The world's first 24-hour music video? Well that's what theyclaim. We Are From LA and Iconoclast Interactive created anew interactive video for Pop singer Pharrel Williams for hissingle "Happy".
It's pretty cool, and features 24-hours of content includingdancers lip-synching to the song throughout the course of aday in LA. The song loops and each new segment feauturesa new dancer at a different location. Users can move theclock-interface to access the many hours of content.

A new interactive music video for Bob Dylan's "Like ARolling Stone" has been making waves. The interactivevideo, released by Interlude, allows a user to interact andcustomize the video. Viewers can switch between 16different channels within the video which presents a virtualtelevision interface.
The characters on every channel are seamlessly lip-syncingthe song. Some channels will be recognizable while othersare specific to appearances and certain song lyrics ormoments from Dylan's life.

Check out the new website for The Hobbit: The Desolationof Smaug. It features a new app that gives fans a chance tofollow in Bilbo's footsteps and take a journey throughMiddle-earth.
J.R.R. Tolkien himself created detailed hand-drawn maps inthe print editions of his works. This new Google endeavor isan interactive version of those maps. The app enables fansto explore locations such as Trollshaw Forest, Rivendelland Dol Guldur. Fans are able to learn the history of each,meet the characters who live there, and play games withinthe world.

Afterlife - Live Music Video
At the recent YouTube Music Awards, Arcade Fire releaseda "live music video" for its song "Afterlife". It was directed bySpike Jonze and stars Greta Gerwig, a woman dealing witha lover who left her. She dances in the video to deal with theloss and then comes to life in front of the live audience.
Arcade Fire has always pushed the boundaries with itsmusic videos and they continue with this recent effort. Thevideo combines narrative, live performance and audienceparticipation in a very interesting manner.

Revolt.tv - Second Screen
Check out Revolt.tv, the companion website to the P.Diddy's new multi-genre, multi-platform Television channel,Revolt. The site was specifically created for second-screenexperiences. Users interact with additional content inrealtime while watching their television.
While "second screen" is not a new concept, it is interestingthat the channel's companion site was created specificallyto provide a constant feed of content rather than longerformatted posts or links to different sections of the site.

Everything Changed - Interactive Documentary
NBC News recently released a new digital companion for its50th anniversary coverage of JFK's assassination. Theproject, called "Everything Changed: JFK's Life And Death",includes a total of six-hours worth of videos of NBC archivefootage.
The innovative interface allows users to access cross-referenced categorized interviews and content from the newdocumentary "Where Were You: The Day JFK Died".
