Page 34: IFTTT TUTORIAL

word on the following page to select your first channel (also called trigger channel).

Page 35: IFTTT TUTORIAL

You can scroll down the page to find and then activate Instagram, or you can enter "Instagram" into the search bar.

Page 36: IFTTT TUTORIAL

2. Once you've selected Instagram, you will need to choose one of a few

Page 37: IFTTT TUTORIAL

pre-programmed triggers. For the purposes of this example, select "Any new photo by you".

Page 38: IFTTT TUTORIAL

Keep in mind you will need to connect your Instagram account to your

Page 39: IFTTT TUTORIAL

IFTTT account. Don't worry, everything is supposed to be safe and secure.

Page 40: IFTTT TUTORIAL

3. Now you need to choose your second channel (also called action channel).

5. And finally, complete your action fields by inserting ingredients.

Page 48: IFTTT TUTORIAL

You can click the "+" symbol to insert any of the pre-programmed ingredients such as

the caption, URL, timestamp, or even embed code. All of these recipe ingredients

Page 50: IFTTT TUTORIAL

pertain to your Instagram photo, and they will automatically

Page 51: IFTTT TUTORIAL

publish to Twitter in a tweet alongside your photo.

Page 52: IFTTT TUTORIAL

6. Make sure you hit the "Create recipe" link at the bottom of the ingredients page

Page 53: IFTTT TUTORIAL

when you're finished customising your recipe. At that point, IFTTT will bring you

Page 54: IFTTT TUTORIAL

back to your dashboard. You should see your new recipe, with options for editing it.

What about IFTTT's new Do apps?

Page 57: IFTTT TUTORIAL

IFTTT has launched Do. It’s a suite of new Android and iOS apps that should make

Page 58: IFTTT TUTORIAL

recipe setups for web tools as simple as a touch of a button. The new apps are Do

Page 59: IFTTT TUTORIAL

Button, Do Camera, and Do Note, and they’re as basic as you can get.

Page 60: IFTTT TUTORIAL
Page 61: IFTTT TUTORIAL

The idea is that you can use the new Do apps to shorten daily app uses into just a tap of a button,

Page 62: IFTTT TUTORIAL

letting you control your web tools in a fast and simple way.

Page 63: IFTTT TUTORIAL

Currently, you can only program up to three recipes in the Do apps, though you

Page 64: IFTTT TUTORIAL

can use a voice command to trigger a recipe in Do Note. Awesome, right?
