Material Property Requirement For Column Pipes
Mild Steel Or Galvanized Steel Pipes uPVC Column Pipes
uPVC Column Pipes do not reactwith acidic or alkaline water and have a long life in the bore wells.
Steel pipes are prone to rust, corrosion & ultimately get damaged
and need to replace quickly.Long life
Pipes are light in weight and are easyto handle, install and remove.
Pipes are heavy and a great eort is required for installation or maintenance.
Difficult to handle.Light weight
Internal surface is smooth, therefore low head loss due to friction and
results in higher discharge of water.
Rough internal surface and head loss is high resulting in less discharge of water.
Smooth internal surface
Rubber rings are provided with the threads at every joint ensuring
100% leak proof
Steel pipes are prone to rust, corrosion & ultimately get damaged
and need to replace quickly.Leak proof joints
Specially designed square thread, which do not corrode
rust or deteriorate.
"Threads are prone to rust and corrosion easily."Strong threaded joints
Advantages of Column / Drop / Riser Pipes
Manufacturing Process : uses latest extrusion technology, standard quality control procedures and has fully equipped laboratory ensuring the best quality of pipes with perfect dimensional accuracy. uses CNC machines for threading of pipes and couplers with high accuracy tools to ensure the exact dimensions thereby resulting in easy and comfortable fitment of pipes.
Special Formulation : pipes are made with specially designed formulation, so that the pipes are capable of handling both internal hydro-staticpressure as well as vertical tensile load due to the water column and pump weight. This special formulation also ensures that the threads do not get brile and break even aer loosening and tightening several times during the life span.
Thick & Thin :This innovative technique is for making pipes thicker in the threading end to compensate for material removal due to threads. Therefore saves raw material consumption and at the same time provides much higher strength to the pipes.
Square Threads :Unique square threads made on CNC machines provide sufficient grip and additional strength against tensile load. Thus the joint becomes fairly strong with sufficient factor of safety to take care of load of entire assembly with pump weight. These specially designed threads also make it suitable for easy fitment. All threads are checked thoroughly with fitment gauges to ensure 100% accuracy.
Rubber Ring :Specially designed "O" rings and “BELT” rings are provided on pipe threads to make the joints watertight, absorb pump vibrations, avoid leakage and over tightening.
Molecular Orientation :At we have developed unique Molecular Orientation Technique during pipe extrusion, which gives higher impact strength to the pipes.

Handling of Pipes
On receiving pipes please check and inspect for any form of transport damage due to shi inload or improper handling.
Visually examine the ends of pipes for any cracksor damage.
Do not throw or drop the pipes on the floor.
Do not drag or push the pipes from the truck bed.
Contact of pipes from any sharp object should betotally avoided.
Storage of Pipes
Pipes should preferably be stored indoors. When this isnot possible please ensure that the bundles are coveredto prevent exposure to sunlight, and to reduce the eect of U.V. rays.
Maximum stacking height of pipes should be 7 feet.
Place alternate layers of pipes at an angle of90 degrees / perpendicular to each other, with the first layer in a square shape.
The pipes are stored on level ground free of anysharp objects.
If pipes of same diameter but dierent classes are being stacked together, place the thicker pipes below,i.e. stack heavy pipes below standard pipes.
The surface should be dry.

Selfit PVC-u Pipes for Agriculture & Potable Water Supply
The selfit (solvent cement joint) pipes have one end self-socketed and the other end plain, which fits snugly without the use ofcouplers. The strong solvent cement joint is permanent and trouble-free.
Advantages
Selfit sockets are formed with high precision on specially developed machines.
50% saving in installation time, as comparedwith plain ended pipes and loose couplers.
The number of joints are reduced by 50%,resulting in substantial saving in labor costs.
The requirement of solvent cement for a pipeline is reduced by almost 50%.
Eliminates the inconvenience of loose couplers,& reduction in inventory costs.
Selfit pipes are supplied in a standard length of 6 mtrs exclusive of the socket portion.
(As Per IS : 4985 – 2000)
Combination of air and water is very dangerous for pvc pipes.
Air being compressible in nature, tends to accumulatein the pipeline and in case of non-functioning of air valvesit resuts in high localized pressure.
To avoid this phenomenon, good quality air valves should be installed at all peak points in the pipeline with a distanceof 300 to 400 meters between them.
Air valves are of two types : single acting and double acting.
It is recommended that the size of theair valve be about 1/4th the diameter of pipe for the admission as well as release of air.
The function of an air valve is the same as that of a nose in a human body.

Handling and Storage
PVC-u pipes should be handled with due care to avoiddamage to the surface and to the ends of the pipe.
Dragging pipes along the ground should be strictly avoided.
PVC-u pipes should be loaded and unloadedby hand. Liing chains and hooks should beused carefully.
PVC-u pipes should be gently lowered ontothe ground and stored on flat level groundfree of sharp stones or objects.
Each layer of pipe must have the socketsprotruding and alternate layers must havesocket end and plain ends as shown in figure, to ensure that the pipes are supportedthroughout the length.
Extra care must be taken to see that sockets ofthe boom layer do not carry any load.
This can be ensured by use of suitable wooden planks or blocks.

The width of the trench should be as narrow as possible, allowing enough room for joining, backfilling, etc.
A trench width of 350 to 400 mm over the outsidediameter of the pipe is found quite adequate.
Depth of the trench plays an important part in agood pipeline, and ideally it should be 1 meter above the top of the pipe.
The trench should be provided with a properbedding layer, which should be free of stones andother such objects.
Proper and careful bedding of the pipeline will ensure a long service life of the entire system.

Sprinkler Irrigation System
We oer HDPE Pipes and fiings for Sprinkler System. These are used for spraying water through Nozzles to get maximum water use efficiency.
Sprinkler irrigation system is a method of water conveying system from main water resources to the cultivation fields through spray technology. This type of technology is used mainly where the crops cultivation is irregular and for the crops which require cool breeze. In sprinkler system the water has been pressurized & sprayed through an orifice which has been fied in a self-rotating shut o nozzle.
These Sprinkler Pipes are manufactured from High Density Polyethylene Granules and special additives such as ultraviolet radiation Stabilizers, Antioxidants, Anti-aging & Environmental stress crack agents, etc.
Advantages
More Cconomical as it helps in Saving Water, Electricity, Fertilizers, Pesticides.
Tough, Portable and Light Weight as Compared to itscounter-parts I.E. Aluminum Sprinkler System HenceMinimizing the Labour and Transportation Costs.
Easy Handling and Quick Installation.
Sprinkler Irrigation Does not Require Surface Shaping of Leveling.
Flexibility is Possible Because Sprinkler Heads areAvailable in a Wide Range of Discharge Capacities.
Application
Agricultural :Variety of Crops like Coon, Soya Bean,Wheat, Gram, Groundnut, Pulses etc.
Other :Playground.Golf Course Maintenance.Land Decor and Beautification.
Sprinkler Pipes Comply to IS 14151 (Part I & Part II)
