The Attention GameThere will be four rounds• In each round each player chooses

one blog post title from the pile in the middle to reflect their role or you can use a blank one and write your own!

• When all have chosen one, the group vote on which blog post ttile they like the best (initial & mark it with a star)

• After at least 4 rounds see who has the most winning blog post titles

Debriefing – pick one question• Could you use this exercise in your classroom

as a language task?

• Could this exercise be useful even if your students are sophisticated social media users?

• Does this exercise mean that educational social media should always be password protected?

• What was most successful in grabbing your attention?

• If someone else was getting attention, were you more likely to choose more extreme headlines?

• Looking back at the way the game went, would you change your attention grabbing strategy?
