This year is no exception! It will be held on January 30-31st. Our speakers are the mother/ daughter team of Julie and Katie Black from Baltimore. They are Missouri Synod Lutherans and the founders of Contemporary Christian Women’s Academy. All ladies from our congregation are encouraged to attend. We know that what we started in the early 1990’s is something women enjoy, so over time we have gladly extended the invitation to 160+ congregations from around the state. Women of all ages and stages of life attend. Close to 40 churches have been represented and have filled the pews of Redeemer Lutheran Church. We are repeatedly thanked for the outreach. We also reach out to our next door neighbors at the Esther House. They are our guests – free of charge. Just this week, we were notified that eight of their residents have accepted our invitation, and will be bringing five young children with them. Thanks to one of our gracious members and her team of nursery workers, childcare is provided both days. That’s a plus! It takes 6-12 months of time and effort from our WOR board to put everything into place for our annual conference to be a success. Join us this year for a fun-filled, spirit-filled time of fellowship, food, learning, sharing, and growing your faith. Registration deadline is Friday, January 23rd. Be a part of something special! THE LORD’S SUPPERLORD’S SUPPERWe’re thankful that The Lord has brought you to worship today. Since we are participating in the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion today, before you come forward you should consider these questions and be able to give an affirmative answer to each:1) Are you a baptized believer in Jesus? (Acts 2:38,39)2) Do you understand you are a sinner and in need of God’s forgiveness? (Romans 7:24,25a)3) Do you desire His forgiveness and intend to amend your life by the power of His Holy Spirit? (Romans 6:1-4)4) Do you believe that the Body and Blood of Jesus are present with the bread and the wine for the forgiveness of your sins? (1Corinthians 10:16)

LIBRARY UPDATELots of work has been done in the library this fall. Many books have been weeded out, and new books have been added to all sections of the library, especially the young adult and youth areas. Reference books such as different versions of the Bible, hymnals, Luther’s Catechism, commentaries and more have also been added. With some work still to be done, we hope to have an open house at the end of January. We want everyone to enjoy what the library has to offer!

PRO LIFE MONTHLIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING, BUT NOT ALWAYS? We are created by God, our creator, in His image. Wow, to me that’s hard to wrap my brain around. Just think, we have been created to be a light in a dark world. What does that have to do with being Pro-Life? Women and men who find themselves in difficult situations because they are expecting a baby that was a surprise, or maybe has a deformity, are sometimes put in a position of choice. There is a way out of this; abortion, or maybe I could carry this child if...

It is then we can be a light to them. This can be in many forms. Walking alongside, a shoulder to cry on, referral to a pregnancy center for counseling as to the truth about abortion, or how the Christian community can help her, her husband or boyfriend, and baby to manage this situation.

2 Corinthians 4:6 reads For God, who said, “let light shine out of darkness, made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” Lord, help us to help those in question, regarding a life decision, whether it be pregnancy or end of life decisions for the sick, elderly, may your will be done.
