According to the PFMA pet population report of 2014, there are 9 million dogs and 24% of households own dogs. The report also estimates 17% of households in the UK have cats, with the cat population estimated to be around 8 million. It is projected that the pet dog and cat population will continue to grow in the next decade. With this in mind, pet products and services are continually increasing in value. Did you know that the cost of taking care of a dog during its lifetime is now estimated to be an astounding £16,000? This �gure includes the cost of veterinary visits, various toys, pet comfort products, and (mainly) pet food.

The dog and cat food industry in the UK is currently valued at £2.12 billion (PFMA), which means this industry is highly lucrative, and therefore very pro�table. The graph shows that almost half of pet owners have either a cat or dog. Considering the combination of expenditure on pet food and pet population, as a distributor you can supplement your income from your pet contacts and can also source new pet contacts in your area.

Become a Husse Distributor – The Concept

I opened Happy Tails Grooming in Basingstoke in August 2012. I have a massive love for dogs owning 6 myself. I searched for what was the best of everything for them including what I feed them. My business took o� so quickly, now having over 600 clients. I was approached by Janet a Husse Franchise owner who explained to me about the company and its products. I looked into it through their website and information given to me and loved what I was reading. I then went with Janet to the head o�ce for a training and info meeting, it just got better and better I couldn’t believe how amazing all the products are. I took some samples to try with my own dogs as I could not ask any of my clients to try these amazing products unless I believed in it myself. Well my dogs loved them I could see a di�erence in their coats and behaviour after a matter of weeks. So I signed up as an agent for Janet showing o� the products to my clients. Many of my clients agreed with me that their own dogs health was looking so much better I even have a client who’s dog was a little over weight, she took a sample and the dog loved it. Janet went to see my client and put the dog on a weight management plan with Optimal Light, going to my client and weighing the dog every couple of weeks and the results have been amazing. Not only was the dog losing weight at a healthy pace the coat and skin of the dog also improved. The dogs that come to me with sensitive skins and irritations have tried the sensitive range and the dogs skins and coats have improved too. As a professional groomer it is important to me that the dogs and cats I groom are in peak condition and I can honestly say Husse has a product for everything my dogs love it, my clients dogs love it.

Being a Husse Distributor is a unique way to supplement your income from your pet contacts or during the hours that suit you. You can manage the role around your current job or you can facilitate it as a part time position. A Husse distributor will be allocated a region whereby you simply collect customer data by asking few questions and in return customers will receive a free sample of Husse Premium food . If you are already blessed with lots of pet contacts we can even create a dedicated survey for you which you can send to your customers to �ll in. You can meet new customers by going to the park and local events – markets, boot sale, pet shows, etc. We will also o�er you any leads generated through online campaigns.

Your Investment and PackageThe cost to become Husse Distributor is £300 + VAT. In return for your investment you will bene�t form a comprehensive start-up package.

Husse Distributors Package Includes:• Complete training including sales and nutrition.• Husse uniform.• Ongoing support from in house vet and accounts manager. • 30% Gross margin on all products.• Design of personalised marketing materials.

Earning potentialHusse customers spend on average over £400 on pet food annually, of which 30% is yours. Each customer potentially will generate £120 pro�t per year. If you can develop a customer base of 200, you can potentially make £24,000 gross pro�t per year.

Reward and ExpandWhen you reach 200 customers, Husse UK will o�er a part time franchise with no additional entrance fee – subject to performance in your role as a Distributor. The reward on o�er will give you exclusive right across at least 35,000 households, which means no one else can sell Husse products in your area. The gross margin will also increase to 40% across all our product range – which means you will make more money.

The ingredients in Husse pet foods are always disclosed, suitable for human consumption, and ethically produced in an EU-regulated factory which is also certi�ed to ISO 9001 standards. Husse complete pet foods are also of the highest quality and we are proud of the fact that our products are GMO free, recommended by veterinarians in over forty countries, and enriched with up to 50 nutrients and Nutraceutical components. Research conducted in the United States shows by adding Nutraceutical components to pet food, the pet’s life on average increases by two years. The line of Husse products is also chemical and additive free. Husse o�ers a line of 350 products, all of which are exclusively made to provide a balanced diet for pets. Animal welfare and environment are our BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY. We try to reduce our impact on the environment every way we can, e.g. purchasing only “tuna-safe” �sh, developing natural products such as having our cat litter or poop bags made of corn products, using trains and shorter transportation routes as much as possible when shipping products, and centralising logistics by having our main warehouse in the centre of Europe (Belgium).
