Humanitarian Relief and Resilience Program airlifted 70 TRUCKS Public-Private Partnerships Deliver Relief The Ebola Case Study: MILLION 41 organizations supported relief and medical supplies delivered UPS transported and consolidated the equipment, coordinated a dedicated air gateway at the Cologne Airport, with onsite warehousing and ground handling services provided at no charge to assist 41 NGOs responding to the Ebola epidemic resulting in cost savings. UPS provided charter coordination for the CDC across Europe and West Africa to aid in the airlift of 70+ trucks. Cologne Air Hub (Logistics Cluster) UPS transported a full planeload of chlorine powder vital to the safety of healthcare workers in West Africa. Unicef (UN Agency) Using innovation and collaboration to determine the optimal combination of speed and accuracy, UPS delivered aid across borders to the affected countries. UPS Donated personal protective equipment; UPS provided supply chain and customs clearance expertise to transport the equipment. Together, they supported healthcare workers and patients.
