HUB NETWORKING EVENTS: September – December 2009 Dear Colleague, The HUB is keen to bring together people from the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sectors to hear about and discuss topics affecting them and the children, young people and families they are working with. We want to do this in a less formal way than say a training course or a conference. We recognise people’s time is valuable so we want to ensure that people leave our events with some knowledge and information, as well as having had the chance to network with friends and colleagues. To enable this to happen, the HUB is planning to host a number of networking events. For the period September to December 2009 we would like to offer you the opportunity to come together to hear about the following topics: 1. The experiences of Gypsies and Travellers 2. The role of the VCFS in Education Business Partnerships 3. The role and experiences of young carers 4. The role and operation of the Local Safeguarding Children Boards Each event will be run in an informal and relaxed way where you are able to hear from colleagues about the topic in hand and then there will be an opportunity for you to think about any implications for you and the children, young people and families you work with We do hope you are able to join us and we look forward to seeing you then Best wishes Alison Navarro HUB Development Officer
