Manufactured in HSI’s Houston,
Texas factory, all our blowers are built
using exacting engineering, quality
control and testing procedures.
Our large parts inventory allows
us to provide blowers and repairs
with very short turnarounds.
We manufacture blower control
systems from the simplest flow meter
to completely integrated, PLC based
blower monitoring and control
systems capable of automatically
sensing air needs and regulating air
flow accordingly.
HSI also provides a complete array
of aftermarket services including parts,
shop overhauls, re-rates, field repairs
and preventive maintenance contracts.

Our strategy is to stock a large inventory of
blower parts and accessories so that we can
react immediately to our customers’ needs.
This allows us to ship most parts orders
within 24 hours and to cut our delivery time
on whole blowers to less than two weeks in
expedited situations. Our warehouse is full
of cast iron housing components, impellers,
shafts, seals, bearing kits and more.
We also supply any accessories
required in the operation of multistage cen-
trifugal blowers such as motors, controls,
filter silencers, filter elements, expansion
joints, butterfly valves, check valves, valve
actuators, gauges, meters, sensors, cou-
plings, coupling guards, vibration isolation
pads and oilers. Many of these items we
keep in stock. We can provide technical
advice on sizing, troubleshooting and
repairing all these accessories.
A LARGE INVENTORY OF
BLOWER PARTSAND ACCESSORIES
From the simplest across the line starter
with an ammeter to a
complex PLC
controlled variable
frequency drive appli-
cation, HSI has the
expertise to provide
the control package
needed for any
blower application.
We have devel-
oped a line of standard
control packages from
which to choose. For
example, the HSI
2100 is PLC based
with full touch screen
interface and provides
monitoring, shut
down and trending
functions for vibration,
bearing temperature,
blower surge, and
motor overload. The
standard unit has three extra inputs that
A COMPLETE LINE OF
AUTOMATEDCONTROLS
can accommodate a variety of data such as
flow, pressure, tempera-
ture and dissolved
oxygen. The HSI 2100
can modulate automated
throttling valves, variable
frequency drives and
blow off valves. The unit
can be programmed to
communicate with all
types of plant control sys-
tems and extra cards can
be added to accommo-
date almost any control
requirement.
In addition to the HSI
2100 we have several
other models with various
levels of functionality all
the way down to a simple
calibrated analog amme-
ter. We can also design
and manufacture systems
using any brand of
equipment specified by the customer.
HSI has a team of engineers with over 50
years of combined blower manufacturing
and application experience. Our engineers
maintain close control over the quality of
our blowers by focusing on four major areas:
1. Detailed part drawings and specs –
every part is modeled in three dimen-
sions using Autocad. Dimensions,
tolerances and materials are determined
and thoroughly documented on the
drawings and specifications.
2. Strict quality control inspection
process–Every part we manufacture
undergoes a quality inspection which
includes a thorough check of dimensions,
materials and appearance.

ANDTESTING
3. Careful assembly process –The
method of assembly of each blower
model is specified and monitored to
assure consistency of blower performance
and quality. Special attention is paid to
internal clearances, the balancing of each
individual impeller and the balancing of
the assembled rotor.
4. Completed blower testing program–
Every blower passes a complete run test
before it leaves the factory. All test data
are recorded, analyzed and archived. If
desired by the customer, performance
and sound level tests are also provided.
At HSI we understand that it is service that
differentiates us from our competition. We
are on call 24 hours a day, including week-
ends, to meet our customers’ needs. Our
systems can accommodate quick deliveries. It
is not unusual for us to manufacture a new
blower or overhaul an existing blower in less
than two weeks if necessary. We can have
this level of flexibility thanks to our large
parts inventory and our excellent people.
We know that our service is only as good
as the people who provide it. We create a
work environment, which encourages initia-
tive and problem solving. Our managers,
foremen and senior technicians have an aver-
age tenure with the company of over ten
years. Several of these key people are stock-
holders and are, therefore, very motivated to
deliver outstanding service.
EXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS
SERVICE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
Training is the key to continual
improvement. Our senior technicians each
lead assembly and field service teams. This
approach assures high quality work while
continually training our growing work-
force. We have over 100 years of
combined blower experience embodied in
our technicians and it shows in our
superior product and level of service.
